Tried to find some info on this guys but couldn't. He's a 5'5 145 lb Freshman Wide receiver from Texas. Pretty short to be a receiver. Is he on Scholarship? Thanks for the help. He's listed with the #3s on the depth chart.
Just curious...

Dear god that is tiny that kid must be ungodly quick or something along the lines of that wow receivers are getting smaller and smaller who knows thru must work though

Maybe he's our Brandon Banks, or JJ Moses 2.0?

Who knows, but I do think there is a place for really short, really fast guys in a spread offense receiving corps. Guys like this are great on screen plays, can often get yard after short catches. Obviously he probably won't be a deep threat or possession guy, but there's definitely potential.

He worked with the third unit on Saturday. He would be good on screens and short things on the edge. Low center of gravity that can pick up 5 yards in a hurry. I just wondered if he was scholly or a walk on. We don't get many walk ons from Texas!

I think that he's mainly a special teams player right now. Definitely a quick little guy.

Noel Divine also didn't weight 145 pounds...he had the weight and strength to take a hit, if anyone could put one on him.

Umm... I wouldn't go that far. This guy could be a good role player, returning punts, and seeing some PT at WR, but Noel Devine was 5 Star athlete coming out of high school, and one of the best running backs in CFB the past 3 years.

I'm not sure I'd put him back there for punts yet. Not with Lenz, Sims, Reynolds, and Johnson all with the potential/experience to do it.

If he's good though, I'd rather have a back up taking those hits. Those 4 aren't guys I want injured. Not that I want this Bledsoe kid to get injured, but it's less of an issue for the whole team if it were to happen.

I agree and that's what I assumed you were getting at. Of course I am not sure Lenz will be a regular in the WR rotation if we stay healthy and Sed finally puts it together.

If any of you watch the spring practice highlights, is he #38 in the special teams practice day 3 video? Dude has deadly quicks

Are they looking at him to return punts? Could be a perfect fit there if he doesn't fumble the ball.

Yes. He's getting a look. I doubt that he can beat out Lenz. Competition for those return spots is going to be stiff with Lenz, Sims, LJ, Reynolds not to mention the incoming recruits.

I wouldnt get any sort of excited over him. I dont think he will see any sort of playing time in his days at ISU.

Did you say the same thing about WALKON Jesse Smith when he was an incoming freshman that worked his arse off to finish off his career as an all big 12 performer....

I hate to see someone with negativity about a guy that you've never seen....maybe the kid works hard and works his way into playing time then what??? Nebraska is known for molding walk ons into key contributors.....give the kid a chance.....
