MLB: Looks Like Cubs Will Keep Colvin

I would prefer to have him play in Iowa for part of the season, and have Fuld or Micah up.

Micah is okay, but nothing special. I like Fuld's energy, but the fact is that he didn't have a single RBI until the last game of the year last year. I think Colvin could be a great addition to the team, but he needs to see some playing time. My guess is they will shuffle him back and forth to Iowa several times this year.

I kind of feel bad for Micah. He's been up and down from the minors to the majors so much, even though he puts up pretty decent power numbers. All he needs is consistancy.

Unfortunately his lack of speed (not that he is slow, he just isn't that fast) limits the positions he can play. And he isn't used as a late-inning defensive replacement because Fukedome's defense is better.

Micah's problem is he has DH written all over him because he's blocked at 1B by Lee and is not the greatest with the glove in the OF. I just hope they can get Colvin enough AB's to keep him up. Sucks we have 3 big contracts plus Nady blocking him from playing every day in the OF because I think someone like him you just throw into the every day lineup and see how he responds. Almost would rather see him start at Iowa and get called up because one of the guys is struggling or injured.

Maybe it's time we trade him for Guzman's replacement. If there's no room for him on the team, we might as well get something for him. I think he's too good of a player to have at Iowa all the time.

love it. tyler's been KILLING the ball this spring and plays all 3 OF positions. Fuld does great with what he has, but he doesnt have any power whatsoever and drives in very few runs. Micah has power, but strikes out a lot, low BA, poor defense and cant play center. Colvin will play quite a big IMO, cant wait for castro to come up either. these two are big parts of the cubs future
