Give McDermott one more year and than if he fails to have a winning season and some kind of post season play than fire not only him but Pollard too. He is betting his future with McDermott as far as I can see. I was at Johnny Orr's first game at the Hilton and trust me you don't want to go back to 6,000 in attendance. Orr created a game that was exciting and fun to watch and he did it with a mix of average and good talent. This coach had more in place to success than Orr did when he got here. Orr's first center could barely run down the court and get there before the play was over. He never tolerated less than 100% and never accepted players quitting. This coach will never out coach others in the Big 12. Orr was up against what I considered a better group of coaches and better talent in his tenure and got the job done. I can barely stand to even turn on the TV to watch this brand of play. At least with Floyd you would get excited watching defenses that would shut down explosive offenses and you knew that everyone on the team had a critical part to play. Not the mess is on the court now. It is not the players, but the lack of Big 12 level of coaching. I can't remember the last time I watched ISU change tactics to take the other team out of their game. Record nights for the other teams guards will not change under McDermott. Kansas State had a bad night shooting the ball. It wasn't us doing anything different. Shortening up a game by holding the ball won't work if you are just trading baskets.

The House that Orr built is shaking at it's foundation.

I haven't posted before because of shark infested waters. Lost a couple of toes on this one. I am amazed by ones who attack and attack. They must be fans of MSNBC.

first center?
Utoff or Falenchek

Assuming it's not Hill...Sam could run,
just had a lot of drag from the ears.

Razzing someone for too few posts seems a bit off to me. On the other hand there are a number of people that I wish posted much, much less.

Post 2 busts on liberals and has this thread moving to the cave soon enough. Wow, this guy is good for lurking around here for over a year.

really people..? the guy has his opinion let him state it.. no need to bash.. the goal of this site is to get more people on CF and to get them to post.. bashing a first time poster is not going to help any..

Why I would dump Pollard if next season fails is for 2 reasons. The first he backed the wrong coach and the second he seems to have a bit of a god complex. It is his job to take criticism and not lash out at fans that are frustrated with a very real issue. I understand the financial issue and I also understand that he has probably gone to the well one to many times with the big donors with the football issue before last season. You still want to be careful with the everyday fan and regular season ticket holders.

Pollard would fire him if he could. There isn't enough money. What about this do you people not understand? Just like if you want a new car and can't afford it, you don't buy it. This is not complicated.

You guys are rough on the newbies.

How does someone have 6 million credits with 1 post?

There have been a lot of economic stimulus packages over the years. I believe that at this point, if you were here since the start of the CyBookie, you would have 9 million credits.

Why stop at Pollard? The president is responsible for Pollard right? So fire the President. Who hires the president? They should be fired too.
