Hey guys depressed about basketball?

This a biweekly college football podcast that I've been listening to for over a year. Its definitely my favorite one out there and this week they've got Coach Rhoads. Considering the level of national coverage we usually get, I am pretty impressed he is on there. Website below but you can also subscribe on Itunes or Zune.

The Solid Verbal: Living College Football

Ty and Dan talk with Iowa State football coach Paul Rhoads about momentous victories, the Big 12 conference, recruiting to a smaller program and YouTube stardom.

GOooooooooooooooooooooo Cyclooooonnnnneeeeeees!

Thanks for posting that Fletch! It's a good listen, those guys do a real good interview with CPR and speak pretty glowingly about the Clones.

Is it time for spring ball yet???

Great find, Fletch. They asked good questions and actually listened to his answers. I found the segment about recruiting interesting. I enjoyed the story of the recruit's mom finding the you tube of the locker room celebration.

Very thorough and thought out interview by the two conducting the interview. They did their homework and asked intuitive questions. Certainly worth listening to.

That was one of the best all around interviews I've listened to. Those guys did some homework, new a thing or two about ISU and weren't underhanded whatsoever, yet maintained a realistic perspective. I'll be listening to their podcasts from now on.

And Coach Rhoads is Coach Rhoads. You know that part is going to be good.

Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but when they were talking about the recruit and the locker room video, CPR said something to the affect of "He wants to be a part of that". Is this our first commit?

Remember these guys' names. Those were some of the best questions i have ever heard. They did their homework and knew what they wanted to ask.

Best sports interview/podcast I have listened to in a long time. I was impressed by both the hosts and our coach. They asked intelligent questions and give the coach time to answer without interrupting (something the media in our area could learn from). They are obviously knowledgeable and passionate about college football and CPR is awesome like always. I LOVED this interview.

Listen to the Michigan one. Brian Cook runs mgoblog.com which at one time had a larger membership than any other fan site. I am not sure if it is true but it is a very well done site.

CPR stated that the recruit was from the state of Indiana.

The following recruits from Indiana have an offer listed on Rivals:

Nick Stoner
Joel Hale

They both look like very good recruits.

There are some local media members who could learn a thing or two about conducting interviews by listening to this...

The one thing I'd say is, and I agree it was a very, very well done interview, is that these guys only do two shows a week and have a WAY wider variety of topics they can cover than the local media does.

I left a comment on their site stating exactly that.

I said that they do a better job than any sports outlet in Iowa.

Just joined their facebook page site. Very solid interview. Good free press for us. Sounds like recruiting is continuing to go well.

Did we have any, and if we did how many, commits before summer camp started last year? It would be nice if we could up that number.
