Because every time a figure skater bites it and falls down during their performance I absolutely crack up?

And every time someone falls Scott Hamilton "oohhh..." ... I can't stop cracking up.

Oh, and yes, I'm watching figure skating, but I don't think that makes me a bad person, just a little effeminate.

if it makes you a bad person then i'm guessing it makes me a bad person too. and i'm okay with that. you can all judge me and i'll just continue enjoying myself watching them fall.

It means you are repressing your effeminate side by expressing schadenfreude towards fellow effeminate persons.

What I don't get is the US guy speaking Russian or what ever. I am watching because it was either this or American Idol on the DVR, and the wife is gone tonight so I couldn't just delete one. I am making an excuse so I don't get made fun of, most likely will though. I can't stand Scott H.

Just think of it like some people think of NASCAR. Watching just for the crashes, so it is pretty much the same idea.

So we have a russain speaking american.

A guy who cries, even though he hasn't even done the long program.

Hopefully this guy can hold it together....

I think you have to ask yourself, "What would Brian Boitano do?" Only then will you know.

I watched some last night of the pairs and it seemed like everybody was falling. The reaction by the commentators is a little funny, one time somebody slipped and the commentator almost had a heart attack.

Does it make me a bad person if I hate the olympics all together and think they are a giant waste of money? Kind of like the way I feel about all college sports other than MBB and football.

Don't kid yourself, you know you enjoy collegiate tennis matches.

Don't get me wrong, it's a very impressive sport and probably requires an immense amount of concentration to stay in time with the music and perfect all those maneuvers...

But does this sport cater to the OCD or what? Dude lands what I believed to be an impressive triple sauerkraut or whatever and I guess he points his skate the wrong direction and the announcers are like "OHHH HIS OLYMPIC CAREER IS OVER WHAT A SHAME".

My wife asked me this exact same question when I got home from work, tonight. She feels guilty about it.

I think it's a salchow. :biglaugh: I had to google it to find out if it really was sauerkraut. :biglaugh:
But, I agree with your post.
