NBA Lottery article....no Brackins mention

Did you actually think he would be mentioned? Most are looking at him as an undersized tweener these days.

figured he would atleast have his name mentioned at the end of the article as having a shot

I realize CB has had his struggles this season, and there were a handful "draft expert" websites that called the guy a lottery pick last year, but didn't CB's own due diligence (talking to NBA GMs) reveal that his draft status was all over the place? late lottery to second round?

idiots like chad ford are only calling brackins a "lottery pick" last year in order to make it look like he's fallen dramatically. maybe he has, but its all speculation based on where people believed he "would have" been drafted last year...

100% true. He has probably fallen a little bit, but he wasn't even a guaranteed 1st rounder last year.

Agree. The press loves to play up stories like this, so they will tend to exaggerate Brackin's fall. His range was probably from 15 - 40 last year, and I don't think it has changed that much, except on the high side.

Which, unfortunately, will make him all the more likely to leave this year rather than risk some kind of nagging injury that hampers his season next year and causes a further slide.

The biggest problem that Craig has is that this draft is much deeper and more talented.

I like the kid, and I am happy that he came back for another year. But, last year's draft was considered the weakest in 15-20 years. He would have been a first round pick last year, I am not so sure about this year.

It's sad that he came back to play on this team, and also lose draft position.

Not a chance... you would be crazy to pick him before Wall and Turner... and there might be several other guys where it would be a toss-up.

Wall will go number one no matter what, so nobody would pick him before Wall.

7th in scoring, 6th in rebounding(B12 play), 10th place team usually doesn't add up to a lottery pick.

Ya my bad i mis-read what you said. I wouldnt be surprised if he went above Turner though.

Turner is a better scorer, playmaker, and seems stronger... now I am not sure on defensive end... hard to evaluate somebody that plays in the zone system.

As far as CB goes, he will at least have a chance to prove everyone wrong at the predraft camps. It's all up to him.

And Craig was a first round lock last year. Very good chance he was a top 15 pick as last years draft was very weak. I don't know what a lot of people are talking about with him not being in the first round last year

To me "first round lock" means that everybody is picking him to go in the first round. That was not at all the case. NBA scouts had him anywhere from late lottery to not at all. I wouldn't call that a lock.

Some projections had him as a lottery pick and some had him in the early second round. Hence the "all over the map" comment made stated earlier that was made by Craig at his press conference. He felt like he wasn't assured to be picked as high as he would've liked. I don't know for certain how large of a role that played in his decision, but it certainly was part of it.

Pretty much everywhere you looked he was a top 20 pick. He may have been early second round during the season, but after the season he had skyrocketed up the charts

Okay, you had better information than Craig did.
