SMILEY FACE KILLERS

So I explained to a friend I have on campus about the SFK when we were discussing Lacina's disappearance, going back to Abel Bolanos' death. She tells me today there's a smiley spray painted on the Armory, which is across the street from the Design Building (Lacina was a design student) and sent me a pic of it.

I think it's a sick joke...usually there's a circle around the smiley, but this one didn't have it although I've seen others from other cases with no circle around it.

Sick joke maybe? Who knows, but it's screwed up big time.

There was a smiley spray painted on a sign between hilton and scheman too. kind of a cruel joke it appears

didn't take a pic but it was a black smiley with the tongue sticking out. no circle around it

The one my friend sent me was on a window of the armory. A regular smiley face in one window pane and then on each side in separate panes are big X's Almost looks like a smiley face which is pounding its fists up against a window.

I wonder if it was there before. Most likely, but it might be someone's sick game.

lol i've never heard this......where'd you hear this from?

I made it up. With all this smiley face killer talk I found no one was actually was talking about the logistics of it. And while thinking of the logistics I came up with a few theories. Logistically this is very difficult and if these are the work of a serial killer I would describe the killer is highly intelligent; very detail oriented; possible chemistry background; and multiple accomplices.

The SFK(s) exist, and they are x law enforcement (possibly military). They have probably recruited new killers, because the time line has grown too long. They need to stop looking at all the spelling and map clues, and look at Motive, and correlation of the victims. That is how they will solve these cases.

well ppl finding smiley faces on campus and no body is a joke...if this conspiracy is true you will find a smiley face by the body...so that either means the killers did it or someone found the body spray painted a smiley face and didnt call it in. I mean look at ames there are so many back route streams and things all over ames and the surrounding area...plus all the snow doesnt help so wait till spring they will find him

Well, yeah my point was that people are sick to be joking around like this.

Very true, I agree. But you will have this type of behavior with college kids who dont understand the situation. Its wrong, but its going to happen i knew as soon as this smiley face killer stuff popped up that there would be smiley faces all over campus

seems like too serious of a thing to joke about... unbelievable

Sadly there is always "that guy" or person that doesn't care and thinks its funny. Not to stereotype but they are also usually the ones in high school and college that disobey every rule and law they can find just because they can.

I don't know. Is it wrong to joke about folks who beleive in bigfoot? Or UFO's? Or folks who beleive the moon landings were faked?

People who beleive in those things can supply you with tons of evidence to prove their point, too.

Actually the smiley faces aren't always by the location of the body but are located at possible dump sites. Especially in the case of a river. Deep Creek in Veenker isn't too far away from the Armory and there is smaller Creek that runs even closer.

Assuming SFK theory is true...the Armory location scares me because he is/was a design student and design bldg is near armory.

If everyone posted something like this to threads they didn't like.....i wonder how useless this site would become?

Agreed. I don't get it, there are threads I think are worthless, but I guess I don't feel compelled to attempt to belittle others in those threads to validate myself in some way.

For those that think it's a conspiracy theory and think those that follow it are some kind of fringe lunatic, not Lunatic Fringe by Red Rider (I know you're out there), try to open your minds. It not out of the realm out possibility. There are serial killers out there, it's not outlandish to think there are serial killer groups that exist as well.

It just so happens that Ames has a link to the story now, unfortunately. If the Abel story had never brought those investigators to Ames a couple of years ago, no one would be throwing it out there now. To compare it to fake moon landings, UFOs and such is ridiculous.

Anyone that would joke about it by going out and making smiley faces around campus is a sick individual.

I happen to think that people that come on a site and do everything in their power to tie a CURRENT missing persons case to a serial killer are somewhat sick. The hearsay and conjecture in this thread is ridiculous and I would hope that people would have more respect for the individual and their family than continue to fuel the fire.

All of this is my personal opinion of course, hence my earlier post on the content of this thread.

I have added said individuals to my ignore list and will do my best to ignore this thread in the future, so my problems are solved.

Unfortunately, any future missing persons (male) in Ames will likely bring the same results.

Hearsay/conjecture....seems those are accepted as facts on internet message boards. Imagine that...anonymous posters engaged in hearsay and conjecture :jimlad:

better add the retired NYPD Sargent and the retired NYPD detective to your ignore list too. Imagine that...some random guy on the internet thinking he knows more about law enforcement and "missing persons cases" than two seasoned NYPD detectives/sargents.

Couldn't see that one coming.

I'm pretty sure this thread is mostly about SFK, not Jonathan Lacina. Nobody has found him yet, so how do we know what happened to him? When I talk about SFK, it's not about the current case in Ames at all or even close.

How is the SFK theory any different than some of the theories on the Kennedy assassination or Area 51 for example?
People believe wholeheartedly in those theories and are entirely convinced that they are correct in their opinions. They offer just as much proof of their opinion as anyone has offered about the SF Killers.

You say that doubters need to "open your minds," and claim that the SFK theory is "not out of the realm of possibility." And yet when it comes to something like the fake moon landings or UFO's, you say that comparisons are "ridiculous." That sounds pretty closed minded to me. Aren't those theories in the "realm of possibility" as well?
