I always laughed when people have tried to say Bill Gates is evil and whatever...he constantly donates billions of dollars to good causes every year, which is more than almost anyone can say, who don't even donate their money OR time to anything except the TV/internet.

I don't know how anybody can rip on Bill Gates, and I guess I've heard of very few that have unless it's Microsoft competitors. Guys like Gates and Buffett are good guys that seem to have genuine compassion for those suffering with diseases and poverty.

Nothing wrong with capitalism and the free market. The problems with it arise with unregulated capitalism, and failing to enforce laws and regulations. We've just seen what unregulated greed can do to the economy.

I assume they're talking about younger children, like elementary classrooms, obviously they know large lecture classes exist.

I watched a recent documentary on Gates and his philanthropy. Several people close to him said this is NOT his nature. He wants to win a Nobel Prize and he thinks if he throws around enough money at the right causes he will get one. Don't get me wrong I think the causes are good but motivation is a bit skewed.

Although I'd use mine to pay off my student debt, so I'd be of no economic help.
