I'd have to agree with their evaluation. Considering the Cubs age, I doubt you're going to see much of a rebound vs. 2009. Soriano might get a little better, but probably not much. It would be tough for D-Lee to equal those numbers again. Ramirez is probably the best candidate, but their outfield offense is going to be interesting.

I am hoping they can stay above .500, with so many players in "hope they bounce back" club I dont see all of them clicking.

Word is they are going to try to sign Jermaine Dye as a backup for the OF. They should sign him and start him in a heartbeat. He may be on the way down, but was a beast 2 seasons ago. If they could get him for a 1 or 2 year deal, it would be a huge upgrade from what they have, and would fit great in 5 or 6 spot the lineup.

I agree. At this point it's probably a coin toss between who'd put up better numbers between Fukudome and Dye. Probably be tough to find a better #4 outfielder.

Didn't care for that article. Hendry was right. 5 of your best player had poor years. It's not expecting too much to see some improvement from them. Pitching probably will be down a bit, but I don't think it was good in 2009 as in 2008.

stay healthy, quit trying to hit a 5 run home run every at bat, better pitch recognition, better baserunning, better coaching, better bullpen support. the cubs have many things that need improving before they can get back to the 2008 level. the one thing that i have promise in is that in 08 the cubs didn't have all of those things either, and they still won 97 games.
