First off let me start by saying there is nothing like the Cyclone nation!
I am very proud of the accomplishments and promising strides made by coach Rhoads and the 2009 football team. From beginning to the of the season the football team an staff stayed in close contact with our family giving us updates on everything and just genuinely showing concern for my brother. I was most impressed while at the gym with Money over the winter break when he told me "Man I want a Paul Rhoads t-shirt, that man is a beast". Just knowing that a player is that exciited about his head coach tells me he is totally sold to the program. I'd like to thank all the fans and students that have shown my brother love and kindness! We love ISU!

And by the way if anyone is wondering the status of Moneys rehab, I don't know what they gave him but he seems faster now than he did prior to the break. He told me he's only running at 90% but I can't tell the difference. He is poised for a big spring! Get ready!

I hope all is going well with Money and can't wait to see him on the field next year!

Any thoughts on where Kidd is going to play next fall?

Good to hear Money is doing well. I am sure he was bummed about missing much of such an exciting season, but speaking as a selfish Cyclone fan, I am thrilled we will get him for an extra year.

Another year for Darius and getting Parker back on medical hardship is like landing another two 4* recruits this year.

City - Great to hear from you again....as always much appreciated and honest insight....

Now, i have a couple questions for you as it pertains to Money.

How big of an advantage will it be for Money to have been through summer practices, seen some game action but then have to sit through the rest of the year while being able to hear the coaching both in the film study but also while on the sidelines. You always hear about guys that get sidelined hear so much coaching and begin to see things they might not otherwise see - Has money talked at all about how his knowledge of the offense and specifically his reads as a wr and how that might help him blossom next fall?

I was disappointed that i did not see Coach Herman and the staff use Money's unique skill set in a more diversified way. I think he could run wildcat or on reverses where he can read and react either run it or step back and hit someone that might be wide open - only someone who's played qb can do those kind of things. Do you see the offense utilizing Money in a more diversified way next year - I hope so....

Thanks again City, hope to see you up here this fall!!!!

It is great to hear that the players are buying in to CPR as much as the fans are. That can only help the program. Also great to hear Money is doing well with the rehab. I can't wait to see what he can do on the field next fall!

Cannot wait to see money next fall. To bad we didn't get to see him after the team had developed a sense of timing in their blocking. You could tell he has great, quick feet and some nice football instincts.

Make sure and pass along that Cyclone fans are wishing him well in his recovery and excited to see him return to the field. Oh, and that we hope his course work is going well also. I know CPR stresses this, but education is important! Make sure he takes full advantage of the educational opportunities currently available to him also. He will appreciate it later.

Thanks for the update.

I wasn't around during the season so I want to say what a neat year for ISU. In fact I honestly expected you guys to beat KU & I even predicted to my uncle you'd beat Nebbie (didn't expect it to go the way it did) They played with heart and passion all year long. They also seemed intent on playing serious D and I have long felt that would be ISU's key, much like Iowa's. A-rob is a joy to watch and Sims is a super star.

Finally Paul Rhoads is one of the good guys and it is nice to see guys like that win. He takes his kids seriously and it shows. In fact it is cool to see, PR, Mark Farley & KF interact with their teams as the kids all seem to like them immensely.

Kudos to PR and ISU.

Edit............wow did I mess some crap up in that original post. Thank goodness for an edit button!

He played a couple of games early in the year. I am sure the staff did not get to utilize him as much as they would have liked. This redshirt year might be a blessing in disguise as far as getting Money more involved in the schemes.

Classy post... I wish more Hawk fans were as level headed as you. (AKA TSAHAWK, PantherHawk... the artist formerly known as SouthernHawk :) jk! SH)

I don't know the in depth details for 2010 and I don't wanna prematurely speak, but I did ask Money if he had talked to Herman about this season's offense and he said there will be changes. He said Herman told him he will use him in as many ways as he can. I personally know that Money has mentioned lining up in the backfield and getting a few hand offs. We will see how spring goes, I'm excited!

[EDITED QUOTE*******]

I agree with him. I think within three years we win the north.

Great to hear his recovery is going well. Also glad he is taking in and understanding what the university is all about. I think sometimes we all get caught up with the wins and losses and forget the players are kids who are developing character and values that will be part of their lives as long as they live. ISU gives an environment that gives young men the opportunity to understand what family is all about. It's wonderful to hear he is taking in that part of the game. Can't wait to see him on the field again. Best of luck to him and your family.

Thanks for the update man! Happy that Money's rehab is going well and we can't hardly wait to be cheering him on next fall! Thanks to you guys for choosing Iowa State!

City - I'm so excited for what this offense could be....we lose some terrific players on offense, but, we retain talent and depth and add in some more weapons. Considering the losses of Stephens, Catlett, Hamilton the biggest loss in my mind is Stephens.

Considering our skill players:
QB - Arnaud, Tiller, Capello
RB - Robinson, Williams, Blankenship, White
WR - Money, Darks, Williams, Young, Blanton, Jennert, Johnson, Range, (TILLER??) & West
TE - Franklin, Richardson, Howard, Bykowski

There is as much offensive talent as we've seen in a long time at ISU. If herman is as creative as many have said, and judging by the offensive explosion in year two at Rice, this fall could be sick.....This offense's time to shine will be this year, Arnaud is a Senior and should know this offense as well as he ever will - it will be up to him to execute. There should be so many TRICK or Gadget plays to catch defenses coming up to stop the run, why not use that to our advantage. I really like the use of 1-2 gadget plays a game because it throws defenses off a bit, gives them one more thing to think about, and it could be that split second on the fake that our guy is wide open for six!!!!

Cant wait for spring ball!!!!

:biggrin:You've officially got me jacked up for football next fall already!

I love football!!! I am glad to hear that Money is doing well. I look forward to seeing him tearing through the Texas defense next season. I'm also stoked about CPR and the attitude he has brougt to Ames. He is turning out to be a stud of a coach!
