Which team is most likely to repeat their Week 17 win this weekend?

Dallas (over Philly)
Green Bay (over Arizona)
NY Jets (over Cincy)

Dallas. They are the best of the 3 teams you mentioned above and are the only ones that are playing at home.

ISUFan I told you it was my lock of the year!

I'll say Green Bay, but that's a homer pick. Obviously, the most interesting game in Dallas/Philly. The pressure is on Romo and the Cowboys now, and his/their results in the past have not been good.

I will go the opposite route. I would say Dallas is the most likely team to choke. Not saying they will lose, but since all the home teams are favored, I think they're the most likely to lose.

Cowboys of course! If not I personally think Wade needs to go. Another loss in the playoffs would not sit well with our fan base. I cannot believe it has been since '96 since our last playoff win.

That's a hard one to pick. I would say Dallas, just because they are the only home team. That being said, I would not be surprised to see Green Bay, Dallas, and NY to all lose this coming weekend.

Early lines are the Cardinals and Bengals by 2 1/2. The Cowboys are favored by 4 while the Patriots are giving 3 1/2.

I expect Dallas to repeat and Arizona to win with a more detailed game plan this time around. The Jets and Cincy have been too inconsistent to make a call.

I think Dallas is the most likely to win again simply because IMO, Philly is a paper tiger and was exposed yesterday. They've defeated zero playoff teams and had one of the easiest schedules in the league.

I love the way Dallas is playing right now, but my pick has just as much to do with how much of a fake Philly is than it does how Dallas is playing.

Couldn't you say the same the same thing about the Cardinals? They've been up and down all year.

Certainly. But I think the Packers are a bit of an anomaly as well. Down the stretch they've been winning, but competition has not been stellar. They got a sissified Dallas team that has since turned it around. Beating Baltimore is nice, but that team has been another season long yo-yo. Stomped Arizona when they weren't even trying.

I think the Packers are a better team than Philly, but I do look to them as a bit of paper tiger as well.

Fair enough. All I'm hoping for as a Packer fan is one win. When you consider that this is essentially the same team that finished 6-10 last year, what Green Bay has done this year is pretty impressive. A couple of playoff games is about as good as most Packer fans could have dreamed, as the team is probably a year or two away from being a realistic Super Bowl contender.

Yup. I think if these things happen...

- Rodgers gets the ball out quicker
- Offensive line upgrades
- Upgrade at running back (Grant is nice, but not a #1 tailback option)
- Improve the defense
- Favre retires

The Packers win the North next season by 2 or 3 games.

Since they re-signed Tauscher and gave Lang the starting job, the o-line has actually played quite well. Rodgers has had tons of time to throw the ball. Grant has rushed for over 1200 yards this year, with a lot of that coming as the oline has healed up and started playing with more consistency.

Another point of view...

Packers win totals the past 4 years - 8, 13, 6, 11

Vikings win totals the past 4 years - 6, 8, 10, 12

One team is up and down while the other has shown steady improvement. All of the attention on the Favre acquisition has overshadowed the fact that the Vikings have done a better job of adding talent and addressing needs through both the draft and free agent market.

It's a great point. I think though, if the Packers address most or all of the items I noted, they're a 13-14 win caliber team. Do you think the Vikings will maintain and/or improve should Favre retire?

People need to remember what the Arizona Cardinals looked like going into last years playoffs. The exact same! The Patriots beat them something like 50-0 and people thought they would be out in the first round. Next think you know they are one play away from a super bowl (they were obviously the better team).

Playing on the road is never easy, especially when the crowd is going to be so into the game. Injuries to Boldin and Cromartie definitely help the Packers. If they were healthy I would consider the Cardinals heavy favorites.
