NFL: Vikings at home....

I could only stomach listening to 5 minutes of the Vikings/Favre lovefest from the announcers on Fox earlier today. Talk about overhyping a win against a team that had already quit. What in the world was Favre doing playing in the 2nd half?? Ok, so I'm a bitter Bears fan, but still....
Assuming Dallas and Green Bay both win this weekend, wouldn't the 'Boys go to New Orleans?
Nope. If Dallas and Green Bay win the Packers are the lowest remaining seed and would go to NO.
If the Packers and Philly win, Packers go to MN.
They are the 3 seed. If Dallas wins, they go to MN. If Philly wins, they go to NO.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around a team like Philadelphia being a 6 seed; when I've known that the Packers were going to be the 5 for a couple of weeks now.
Either way, I like the Packers chances indoors. Assuming that the season ends in the 2nd round (preferably to the Saints), it's been an amazing success when you consider that it's essentially the same team as last year, only with an entirely new defensive system.

The way things shook out over the last couple weeks the Packers stayed in the 5 spot. Nothing was certain until today when MN, Dallas and GB won, as there were still 2 scenarios where they'd end up with the 6 seed.

NFC Championship game, Green Bay at Minnesota, 24-24, overtime. Favre throws a pick-6 to Charles Woodson.
I think the state of Minnesota would collapse upon itself.
I'd rather Minnesota get the choke job out of the way early and save everyone the drama. Even if it comes against Dallas, I'd be cool with that, as Green Bay has allready handled the 'Boys once this season.
I can deal with a loss to Dallas, but I don't know if I could stomach another loss to the Vikings. I hate the Cowboys as much as anyone else, but they've at least accomplished some things in their history.
Blessing in disguise? Chilly now has 2 weeks to come up with a game plan, that doesn't bode well for the Vikings. :wink:
