If he left and he had permission to leave then it is none of our business.

Except that he didn't. Gmac said on his radio show last night that Dendy didn't ask or tell anyone on the staff prior to leaving, that he told the coaches he was "afraid that they would try to talk him out of it."

Well, yes. Because people have proven they want to hear the latest about Brangelina, it is news. (But that would never happen. Brangelina are Solid. Solid as a rock.)
From wikipedia: And IIRC, TMZ was the first to break the story about Brittany Murphy. That's a pretty big news story.

Granted, it's been 8 years since I graduated from the Greenlee School of Journalism at Iowa State, but I think all the professors would agree that news gathering and reporting is a constantly evolving field. With the advent of instantaneous communication, that has given prevalence to "news" being broken much quicker and in non-traditional fashion. That also means that "news" reaches a much larger audience than in years previous. It also means that anything anyone posts on a public forum (such as Twitter, Facebook or internet message boards) is fair game. If he didn't want that information out there at all, he should have refrained from posting it.

What are we arguing about again?

Not only are you a woman, but you use Wikipedia in an argument?! How dare you.

LOL.

I too have a journalism degree as well.

Apparently not an English degree, however.

You've got to be kidding me?!? Yesterday at the grocery store I seen in the Weekly World News that they found Bat Boy again... I was shocked because I was under the assumption that he had passed away several years ago. If you're trying to say that isnt news then I bite my thumb at you!

Women can't argue. That's just crazy talk.

She's probably busy having babies and baking, and didn't have time to look into the whole argument.

At this point I'm surprised she can even use a computer without stopping to ask for directions.
Okay, you got me. I actually ask my husband what I should write before I post. I'm just here as eye candy.

Was he driving a mini-cooper? Because that is news, sir.

Let's get back on-topic, please.

I go to the mall foodcourt to grab some lunch and hit on high school girls (not necessarily in that order) and look what happens to this thread.

Also, that's interesting about what was brought up on the call in show about fearing to ask the coaches for permission to resolve these matters. I don't want to dig too deep into that, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Why are people getting so up tight about this? honestly..he didn't miss any games. People have personal business to take care of sometimes and you have to do that.

Some people are absolutely ridiculous too and they put work ahead of their life. Even when I got hired by my company (one of the top 10 companies in the world so this will set it up), they told us "If you have personal matters to take care of, take care of those first...even if you have to take multiple days off. Your personal life comes first ahead of your work life." They're telling that to consultants too.

We aren't talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars or millions like ISU does, we're talking about billions and even they get it even though they know it could lose them business.

It's Dendy's business and unless he starts missing a lot of games, it should stay his business.
