I have no idea what September will bring...but he will play for sure! They already have Andruw Jones, Kotsay, Vizquel on the bench...there is no doubt they brought Pierre in to be the LF. Pierre is better than Pods...so it is an upgrade...maybe only a slight one though?

I keep forgetting that we picked up Rios for next year...that has worked out well :skeptical:. Yeah, definately Pierre in left, Rios in center, and Quentin in right. Pods & Pierre were almost identical at the plate last year with Pods having more HR's & RBI, but Pierre is better defensively.

I have no problem with this deal. I have had issues with Kenny Williams in the past...but at least he tries to win! I never felt that way about Ron Schueler (past GM)...I felt that he wanted to hang on to his prospects...and they never really panned out! The division is certainly winnable...and our pitching staff could be very tough...so why not add Pierre to the mix and win this year?

This deal was about the Dodgers trying to save money...and the White Sox were willing to take Pierre off their hands for little in return. Fine by me.
