Thought I would take my shot through here. Anyone have an idea or solution for the fan going but the furnace not starting up. Seems to have stopped sometime in the evening. AM guessing it will be tough to get someone here today with the weather and thought I would see if anyone had a good idea.

Is it an older/newer model? When did it stop functioning? Have you had problems in the past?

I had the same problem at my old house when I went to fire it up this winter. Not sure if this helps, but I shut it down and restarted it two or three times, and it finally fired back up.
I first must thank KMOORE for the message and help to get this solved. Thank you also to everyone else for the input. The issue was actually the exhaust was covered by a 6 foot snow drift. After clearing that out of the way it fired back up. Hope this may help others today if needed or any other time in the future.
Call a furnace professional. You can't trouble shoot a furnace problem on a message board.

maybe Kmoore can help me then...so it was the outside vent blocked by a drift? I went to bed last night and my house was 69, woke up at 2AM due to the wind and the house was 63, now its 56 in here...freezing.

If your system has error lights that flash usually the manual will tell you what the sequence of flashing means. Some minor problems can be easily "fixed" at home others would require a professional.

HVAC tech here but need more information. What your furnace is doing when you have a call for heat? Put your thermostate so it is lower then the room temperature for 20 seconds then raise it up so its calling for heat. This will reset your furnace and then go see what it does. See if these things occure in this order:
1. Inducer fan motor kicks on (exhaust fan)
2. You see see a glowing stick (ignitor) or a clicking fallowed up by a small flame (spark ignitor)
3. You will hear a click from the gas valve allowing gas to your burners.
4. See if your burners start up and see how long they stay on. If they stay on past a minute you should be fine.
5. After a minute, the blower should kick on.
If any of these 5 steps don't happen shoot me a message of which one.
The flashing lights were telling me pressure switch open OR inlet/exhaust blocked/or condensation line. I cleaned out the condensation catch-which didnt work, then I went out and messed with the inlet/exhaust pipes and evidentally knocked something lose as it is working fine now and we are back up to 59...thanks guys.
It was down to 60 this morning when we woke up. The furnace would fire up but it was like it was choking/wasn't getting enough air. I thought it had to be the intake so I ventured out and sure enough the intake was buried in a drift up past my waste. I shoveled around the intake and cleaned it out and the furnace fired right back up. I would guess HVAC places are going to get a lot of calls about this today, luckily it is a easy fix that the homeowner can do themselves.
Yep! Last time this happened at my old house it was the heat sensor, but we moved in September to a brand new house so I was going to be ****** if it was that already.

This thread saved me a lot of time and energy. As I was reading this, I noticed the house didn't seem as warm as it should be. Check the thermostat and the temp was 5 degrees below normal. Went out and checked the exhaust pipe and it was covered by a snow drift.
I assume that I would have eventually figured it out, but you guys saved me, the OP and others a lot of time by helping out.
