I'm sure it's buried in another thread, but does anyone know what the status is on Arnaud and Robinson? Were they held out last weekend due to something more significant, or do we expect to see them next weekend. As good as Tiller and Jeremiah did, we really need Arnaud and Robinson back. They basically did not lose the game for us... and that was awesome and a big accomplishment. Moving forward, we're still going to have to look to the offense to win games for us on their own... like the defense did last weekend.

Just curious if anyone had any infoi.

I saw Arnaud slap someone in the helmet with his right hand after a big play, but I don't remember which play it was. That's obviously a good sign. Not sure what to think about ARob. Hopefully the staff sat him to protect him for the rest of the season rather than sitting him simply because he could not play. I think they wanted to give him the week off, and be ready to go against A&M.

I'll be at the press conference at 11. I'll be posting notes/quotes/comments the rest of the day here on CF. As of now, we know nothing.

Actually all anyone had to do was watch Rhoads' post game press conference.

Arnaud was having trouble gripping the ball on Friday and Saturday with the swelling on his hand. He could still throw it but not with the zip he normally does. He could have played Saturday but Tiller was doing just fine.

A-Rob was evaluated Thursday and his groin status was worse than before K-State. He could have played for maybe a series or two so it was decided to keep him on the bench and let him get healthy.

My take is we see Arnaud this weekend but probably not A-Rob.

The way it sounded Rhoads made it sound like they both should be ready to go. Like it was said it was so huge to have them rest this past game.

This could be complete BS, but this is what was posted on a TAMU message board:

Talked to a friend that plays at iowa state and he said right now both are doubtful. I would imagine each one is a game-time decision. From reading the message boards, they lost a defensive back to a broken leg, and one of their safeties got ejected from the game and will be required to sit out the first half.

TexAgs.com - A&M Football

It wouldn't surprise me if this was true, but it also wouldn't surprise me if it's BS. I think if we learned anything from last week is that we probably won't know anything until kickoff.

Really need both guys back. Tiller did a decent job, but not ready yet to be the starter. ARob is much needed for obvious reasons.

And now that Schwartz has gotten more game experience, I feel more comfortable with him coming in there and giving ARob a breather - and providing a change-up. It's clear that without ARob, we are a one running back team until Beau is healthy.

Of course Rhoads is going to say they're going to play even if they don't. Makes A&M practice for two different quarterbacks. I'd be quite surprised if we saw Austen.

I'd be quite surprised if we didn't see Austen, unless they are going to great lengths to hide the extent of his injury.

I heard separately yesterday afternoon from two of his friends that he's got some kind of break. Didn't say if it was hands or fingers, but it wasn't 2 people who would just make **** up. Having seen him on campus with that gargantuan thing on his hand, I wouldn't be shocked at all if he's got a broken hand. However, I hope we don't rush him back and he takes a hit and is done for the season and a possible bowl game. He has to be confident his hand can get hit or he's going to short arm everything and that's reallllllllly bad for us.

Smith getting booted was BS looked to me like he went to shove the guy missed and caught some facemask. Didnt look deliberate.

Hand is not broken, AA has a small fracture which is a big difference. The biggest problem is that the swelling has not gone down to where he can grasp the ball. The real A-Rob has two weeks of recovery time on a groin injury, usaully takes a season to be completely healed but might be able to go on Sat. A&M Fan has it correct.

Hate to tell you this, but

small fracture = break

I believe medically speaking "break" means that the two pieces of bone are completely seperated and need to be reset. "small fracture" may mean crack in bone but not seperated. It is most likely a couple weeks to heal for a crack or 6-8 weeks for a clean break. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong though.
