NFL: Brady Quinn

I still think Quinn can be a very good QB in this league. Mangini is an idiot though and that whole franchise is a mess right now

I don't get Mangini. It's as if he has not gotten over the collapse of the Jets last season (which I felt he took too much heat for) and is just floundering about.

As for Quinn...meh.

The rest of the new QBs that have come into the league last year and this year are so much further ahead. It's amazing what some of these guys are doing, and on teams that really don't have amazing supporting casts.

I don't know why Quinn isn't starting. Derek Anderson went 2/17 with 23 yard. This the week after he replace Quinn and threw 3 picks. What does a guy have to do to lose his job? I expect we will see Quinn to the Niners. It almost happened this summer and I think it will this time.

Quinn better hope that he gets traded soon. It won't be too long and the league will pigeonhole him as a career backup. See David Carr.

This. Maybe he would fit in at Minnesota after Favre leavs

See: Vikings just released John David Booty today

I'm not sold on ND QB's. The last one that came out and did anything is Joe Montana I believe.

Steve Burleim (sp??) was OK...nothing special but he made some money in the NFL.

I just don't get that the Browns jumped so quickly last offseason and hired Mangini? What did they see in him that put him ahead of other coaches in their search?

Looks like the Dolphins made a good move by not drafting Quinn because as feared, his accuracy problems have not gone away.

Still think they should have went another direction than Ginn, but at least he's a serviceable WR. Better than what can be said of Brady Quinn at the moment.

Besides, if Miami had drafted Quinn, they probably don't take Henne the following year.

poor David Carr. The unlucky guy had the misfortune of playing behind one of the worst o-lines ever and it totally ruined him as a quarterback. I've never seen a guy so scared in the pocket.

Steve Beuerlein, not bad, but not good. Hell the Browns trade the house to get Quinn, I don't understand why the ownership doesn't step up and try to push for their guy.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Quinn go to the Bills. Can't get any worse than Trent Edwards.

Steve Beuerlein passed for over 4400 yards and 36 td's one year. I'm not very high on Quinn and doubt he'd be too much of an upgrade over Shaun Hill in San Francisco. If Derek Anderson can only complete two passes in a game, why isn't Quinn starting in Cleveland?

Mangini clearly doesn't like Quinn, so he's gone before the draft next year.
He's probably better off, he may never be a great qb, but he's definetely more talented than some of the chumps starting in the NFL right now.
He could easily turn into a Orton/Pennington type that doesn't blow you away with great plays, but manages an offense well.
Worst case scenario he could join the UFL, they're gonna be huge!:jimlad:
