Sorry for the delay on the news, I realize that many of you have hit me up on a private message. My oldest son has been very ill and thus the reason I have not had the time to write.

As far as Money's surgery and status:
The doctor, Dr. Greenwald I presume:yes:, said that it was a beautiful proceedure. Everything went as planned. Money received 7 screws in his leg and a plate. I have no clue what all that means but as long as he's able to return as scheduled I'm okay. He has been back in class (well at least he told us that) and is back to his smiling self. He's still saddened about the fact of missing this season, however he is determined to bounce back stronger and in his words "lead the team". The Dr.'s prediction is 5-6 weeks and then beginning his rehab early December. I am doing my best to keep him encouraged through this time. He has received much love from friends and mobile love through texts from his QB. He listened vigorously to the K St game and as very dissappointed that we didn't pull off the win. But he's still optimistic about a bowl game and plans to start traveling with the team if they allow him.
Lastly, Money says thanks for all the love and support that the fans show. ALL the fans. he feels so glad that he is where he is in Ames Iowa and is encouraging other prospects to see it for themselves. As expected he can't wait to get back on the field and prays that when he comes back he can do his part to contribute.

Thanks again, I love ISU!

CYCLONE FAMILY!:notworthy:

Nice to hear that his surgery went well!
And also, hopefully your son gets better!
I'm glad that he is keeping his hopes up and not mourning over being injured. I'm sure he will come back stronger than ever and make a big splash next year. Tell him keep up the hard work and that Cyclone Nation is excited to see him back in action next year!

Thanks For the info! Glad he is doing well!!!Also happy he loves being a cyclone we always love to hear that! Cant wait to see him return next year all ready to go!

Good to hear about Money. I do not like to hear about injuries to any one, especially ones that take this long to heal. God's blessings to you and your family!

saw Money outside of the jacobson building, yelled get well soon and was greeted by a thumbs up and a big smile. definitely a fan favorite.

I want to say thanks to TheCity. I love being able to read your posts. Hearing the perspective of a family member, especially one that loves Iowa State as much as the rest of us here on the board.

Money has already shown that he has heart and talent. I'm excited to see what he can do when he's healthy next year.

Your brother seems like a quality person and athlete. Hope your family only has good news for a while.

Thanks for the update, glad to hear he is in good spirits and staying positive. Go Cyclones!

Both Money and Parker have been approved for medical redshirts, right?

Medical redshirts can noy be applied for until an athlete's senior season is over (or is it 4th season?). RP's can be applied for at the end of this football season, Money's needs to wait until after next season.

Based on what people have said, it should not be a problem for both of them.
