Fine, whatever. Pretty clear that you can believe whatever you want to. If you think we didn't recruit Iowa, we didn't recruit Iowa.
Sorry son, but the facts are the facts.
Just look at ISU vs. Iowa in-state recruiting the past seven years. Mac went toe-to-toe with Iowa for in-state recruits and came out at least even -- and a lot better in several years, like 2003. The tide turned big time in 2007-2009, when Chizik was in charge when Iowa beat ISU 4-0 for four-star in-state recruits, and 6-2 for three star in-state recruits:
2003 - Huge advantage for ISU
ISU: 3*: Griebahn, Blythe, Brant, 2*: Meyeer, Mechalsen, Moses, Tjaden, Taylor, Schrage, Schmeling
Iowa: 3*: Klinkenborg, 2*: Zanders, Huntrods, Humpal
2004 - Small advantage for ISU
ISU: 3*: Scales, Ferguson, Coleman, 2*: Carper, Streit, Frere, Kuehl
Iowa: 3*: Bentler, King, 2*: Sabers, Brodell, Kroul
2005 - Small advantage for Iowa
ISU: 4*: Flander, 2*: Mahoski
Iowa: 4*: Kanellis, Blum, 3*: Angerer, Kuempel
2006 - Huge advantage for ISU
ISU: 2*: Arnaud, Lamaak, Frere, Neal, Sandvig, Hulbert
Iowa: 2*: Vandevelde
2007 - Huge advantage for Iowa
ISU: 3*: Brown, 2*: Sandvig
Iowa: 4*: Nielsen, Bernstine, 3*: Hnndertmark, Sandeman, Sash, 2*: Reisner
2008 - Small advantage for Iowa (because 2 of our 4 instaters are kickers)
ISU: 3*: McDonough, 2*: Guyer, Mahoney, Tuftee
Iowa: 3*: Ferentz, Vandenberg, 2*: Reisner
2009 - Huge advantage for Iowa
ISU: 2*: Lichtenberg, Lenz
Iowa: 4*: Wegher, Davis, 3*: Cotton, 2*: Bofelli, Clark
By they way, you might notice the names of some of the in-state players that Chizik
did not recruit, like Wegher, Davis, Reisner, and Sash. They were the ones beating the Florida and Texas players that Chizik did recruit.
