How confident are we as a fan base that we're going to win in KC with the injuries we'd come across lately?

I'm thinking ISU 27 - KState: 17

Also, what is everyone's thought on how good KState's defense is? Aren't they allowing something along the lines of 77 yards rushing? I don't think they've really played anyone and they did get beat by a nobody.

Just wondering if I should be up all night worrying, or just half the night like usual before an ISU game!

I think that we can go in there and win. It will be a good game, probably 10 points or so, but I think we will overcome the injuries. I would put the score around 24-17 'Clones win.

I think this game is going to be determined by how well our D plays. Our O has struggled and against a Big 12 D it could be interesting if they don't get things figured out.
Hopeful prediction for me is 24 - 17 the good guys.

I have been very impressed with the progress our defense has made this season. Our offense is right about where I expected it to be. K-State is just a mess. I'm going to say ISU 27, K-State 10.

Our offense comes alive. 42-14

Hmm. I hope you're right, but with A-Rob dealing with a strain we may not get 100% production out of him. I am guessing we will be in upper 20's and will win by a touchdown. KSU is bad, I mean really bad, but we aren't "42 points" good yet either. This game will tell us a lot.

One thing I like to look at in a close game is special teams and I think we are very good in the kicking game. But, I think KSU has a dangerous return man. Do we give up a little punt yardage and kick it away from him?? I still have bad memories of the KSU guy we punted to that turned around that game we had the big lead in.

Keeping up with my ways for the last two games, not predicting a score, but I believe ISU will win. I expect it to be a pretty close game, but if it becomes more then a few score lead, i won't be shocked either.

I think we will win, by how much depends on how good the offense does. I think Arob will struggle a little more than we have seen in the past few games, but if he can run the way he did against Iowa he can do it against KSU. We started to see the passing game improve last game and I think that will continue.

ISU 35, KSU 17

I remember how confident everyone was that we would beat Iowa after they escaped with a victory over UNI.

That didn't work out too well for ISU.

It has been a while since ISU has beaten a Big XII team at home let alone on the road, so I'm not going to get too confident about a victory.

Iowa St - 13
Kansas St- 10

Both offenses stink at this point

Yes, both offenses are floundering around near the bottom of the Big 12 currently. We're pretty even in most of the major statistical categories. I'd call it a draw at this point.

Defensively, K-State looks to be a bit better at this point, though UCLA had success running the ball against them. I guess maybe slight advantage to KSU here based on a better pass defense than ISU.

Special teams - maybe a slight edge to ISU. Our kicker is solid, and our return game has been good. KSU has a more dangerous returner, but their kicker is horrid.

All in all, I say this game is a toss-up, in which case I am obligated to pick ISU.

Clones 17
'Cats 14

I also remember how badly everyone else said we were going to perform at Kent St the week after we got smoked, for multiple reasons, the biggest one being that we hadn't won a road game in 17 tries. If memory serves, Kent St was basically out of the game by the end of the first quarter, certainly by halftime. Follow that with how badly the same people thought we were going to perform against Army because they run the triple option and had a beast for a WR. If memory serves they scored only 10 points all night.

Mark me down for a 28-17 win...

Both teams' defenses are respectable (relative to each other). Both teams' offenses are pretty flat. We have weapons on special teams with Mahoney and Brandtner. Kansas State can't kick. I'll take the Clones 20-14 or so.

I wouldn't say Louisiana is a nobody. For those of you who didn't know, it was our 2nd game of the season and it was our first road game. Our offense was still trying to figure things out and our fg kicker missed 2 fg's and an extra point. Had he made on of those fg's, we would have won the game. Yes, we should have won the game, but I am not so sure that ISU would have won down there.
