Keith Murphy sounds like pissy old man right now, he is outraged and wants answers now. Funny, how that guy is the first to make fun of message board folk for blowing things out of proportion, but when Murph needs a snippet for the 6pm newscast he wants answers now!!!

Loved Andy's Vic Macke reference and the pinneapple express!

Fair enough.

I think you can interchange CPR and AD (meaning Atheletic Dept, not Director) pretty freely in these cases.

The fact we haven't heard anything, and the final comment in the Gazette that the AD will have no further comment on the issue, is what I find troubling.

"We're doing it, we don't have to explain anything to our fans."

I'm really interested to know what the status of the legal charges is? If they passed a drug screen, I would have to think those don't have a chance either.

This whole thing is a little funny, IMO. From the time it took to bring the warrants and charges, to the subsequent reinstatement after only 3 days.

I think your making an assumption that may be incorrect. I do not think you can interchange CPR and the AD

So please tell me were this info comes from to include liquids that flushes your system. If this is sold somewhere in Iowa please point this out. And if this is the case How is it so many athletes get caught with this stuff in there system.

Seriously, if you don't think these products exist, your kidding yourself. Some places I remember having these products are ETC Treasures and Canton in Southridge mall in Des Moines. Also, The Smoke Shop on SE 14th in Des Moines. A place in Iowa City in the Hall Mall had TONS of different products. Heck, there are things you can buy at GNC that will work if you know what you are looking for and have a few days before the test.

Maybe the bigger question to be asked is why are people following Keith Murphy on Twitter?

Wow. Not even gonna bother reading this whole thread. 2 pages of people demanding an explanation? Who the **** are you people? Get over it. The whole situation was b.s. anyway. And who cares what iowa fan says or thinks? Only people with very low self esteem.

Bingo! This guy nailed it. I was laughing and shaking my head at all of the "I demand an explanation!" talk. What a joke.

And why the heck are some of you so concerned about Iowa and how this relates to them (it doesn't at all)? It seems like some people are relying on coaches doling out extreme discipline as a way to talk smack about our program being better than Iowa's. If you are relegated to that than you are losing the argument to begin with. First off that is just plain asinine, and second, if we are at that point than we just really need to win some stinkin' football games.

In this particular case (drugs), probably. There is a specific policy that he must adhere to. More accurately, takes it out of his hands.

But I don't think it's accurate to say overall that CPR doesn't hand down suspensions, the AD does. I'm sure CPR has leway above and beyond AD policies to suspend players as he sees fit.

Which is what I was reading earlier.

Right that I agree with. The players were suspended after being charged in accordance with rules. So now they have been reinstated in accordance with the rules. Now playing time can be decided by CPR and staff.
