Make sure you prepare yourself both mentally and physically for tailgating.

yeah the morning fog can really suck when weather is like this.

And it is alot colder than normal for right now, personally I love it

You should have seen the fog at the Nebraska game last year? You couldn't see more than 3 feet in front of you...it was some of the worst I've seen.

And its not normally this cold this time of year. But who cares...football is here!!!

Welcome to Iowa "The City". Your posts have made the journey to this day more enjoyable. It definitely feels like Christmas morning to me.

It'll warm up very nicely and be a perfect football evening! I'll be there by 9 AM. I'm preparing myself both mentally and physically for this event!

I remember that, made for trying to find my friends in the grass lots much harder

LET'S GO STATE!!!

Lol! trust me, Im not worried about the cold. Last year when we came for the Mizzou game it was snowing...the shock lies in the fact that Im coming from Va where my days have been any where from 90-100 degrees! lol...but it is definately football time!!!!

I live in Maryland, and I would happily trade you places right now

There is no better feeling than knowing you are about to tailgate in a few hours. Well, no better feeling other than acutally tailgating. Lets Go Clones!!!!

Remember this is Iowa. It may be that cold right now, but just wait, next week may by in the upper 80's. You know, they say if you don't like the weather in Iowa, wait a day. We seem to have temperature swings more often than a 14 year old girl changes moods.

the weather is certainly colder than normal. I am not in Ames at the present, but I saw my breath this morning in St. Louis - which is insane for this time of year. I can only imagine it is that cold or colder in Ames.

I agree no better feeling...unless you're starting the tailgate early on the golf course like us. Love the fact that I can actually get these two days off finally this year!!

As my high school football coach would say every single day of practice whether it was 110 degrees, raining, snowing, didn't matter. "WHAT A GREAT DAY FOR FOOTBALL!"

Wait a minute, my coach said that for the same things but for baseball
