NFL: Broncos/Orton

Well we still got two 1st round picks and one 3rd rounder, and you got a little baby with a career record of 17-20. And how a team or player plays in the pre-season has little to no effect on their performance during the regular season.

Denver would have been 7-30 in those games if it wasn't for Cutler. That defense is brutal. Now with Orton this is going to be the Worst Broncos team I have seen.

FYI I am a Broncos fan so I am not bagging on them. I have been to Invesco twice and love it

They were 7-4 and on their way to winning the division in 2006 with Plummer at QB before Shanahan decided to bench him for Cutler. It's all been downhill since then.

Orton has thrown 3 picks so far in their pre-season game against the 49'ers.

2nd quarter with 5min to go.

Thanks Denver,

Signed,
Bears fans.

If you saw any of the picks then you would know they were of the Jay Cutler variety (2 of 'em were at least)- forcing stuff that wasn't there to kill a drive, but you'll learn that soon enough. Dude has not been to the postseason in 7 or so years of starting in college and the pros, and he doesn't even have receivers like Marshall or Royal to throw to anymore. BTW Royal had 40 more Rec., 220 more yards, and 2 TD more than Hester as a rookie.

I did see them. I am watching right now.

So you are saying that Orton is a better QB than Cutler?

We shall see.

Sounds like sour grapes from Broncos fans. You got a serviceable QB and some great draft picks, so it wasn't a total loss, but lets not act like Cutler isn't a good player. Hopefully both teams benefit from the deal.

Broncos will be around 6-10 to 8-8... Offense is going to be solid. Moreno is going to be a stud IMO. Defense.... ugh. gonna take a few season to get that 3-4 going

Well maybe not just based on talent, but Orton has proven that he can win. Can't say the same for Cutler.

Please stop. You sound so bitter and it is making you sound silly. Orton isn't half the QB that Cutler is....check that, he is not 1/4 of the QB. Orton won behind what was a top 3 defense in the league. There were 40 QB's in the NFL that could have won with that defense.

Cutler had one of the worst defenses in the league at Denver.

As an avid Bears fan, it is nice to have a pro bowl quarterback at the helm.. Ah that even feels good to type.. For our history of struggling at the position and our not so successful first round draft picking (minus a slim few), I have and will continue to feel it was a great move. A chance for stability at a position that we have suffered with so much is a great breath of fresh air.

but he has no one to throw it to

Greg Olsen will have a career year. Forte out of the back field is also a good option. Earl Bennett didn't play much last year but he played one year with Cutler at Vandy and supposedly the 2 have great chemistry. Hester lives on deep pass interference calls, he seems to have knack for that, also quick screens.

I wouldn't talk if I were you. I'm just voicing my opinion and, not surprisingly, you seem to be the only one who has a problem with that.

That's not an opinion. When two players are that far apart as far as talent and productivity go, it is not an opinion, it is a fact.

Orton won't even be the starter the whole season for the Broncos. Cutler will be all pro for the Bears. There isn't another QB in the league that can make the throws he makes, he just lacks a little consistency. It pains me to say all this too b/c I hate the Bears and like the Broncos but it is the truth
