NFL: NOT SO FAST!!

I really hope that Childress has closed the door on Favre. If he wants to unretire in another 4 weeks I just don't see how any team can bring them on. It would just destroy the lockeroom atmosphere. Maybe if your starting QB goes down with an injury you'd consider taking a look at him, but I just don't see replacing a guy that wins a starting spot during training camp.

I can see that..but maybe tommorow or thursday he will wake up and say hey i made a bad choice im going to play..because something just didnt seem right about today...

Proves even more that he is in this simply to extend his records, not because he would miss playing in the NFL.

As a Vikes fan I have said no to this all along. Small victory today, but obviously the battle is so far from over.

He will be back, just look at the different things he has said so far about coming back:

He will be back once training camp winds down...I think he knows he made a decsion that he didnt want to make.

The bottom line is that Favre thinks he doesn't have to play by anybody else's rules but his own. The Vikings gave him a deadline that he probaby didn't like and so he says he is still staying retired. If he changes his mind and the Vikings let him play it will destroy their locker room. The players will have no respect for Favre and Childress. The problem is, a team like Tampa Bay is probably stupid enough to bring him in if he suddenly feels like playing again. He is absolutely destroying his legacy by his actions of the past couple of years.

The Vikings havnt gave him any deadline..Favre was the one who gave the July 30th deadline. I think we might see favre toward the end of camp
