Two weeks ago I posted that the suspended Iowa football players would be eligible for the game with ISU. Didn't have to wait that long!

Good! I hope they have their full team and we put a ****en beat down on these chumps!!!

1. i want Iowas best roster.
2. even if it is immoral.
3. this game is a big deal to KF.

i doubt the opponent played into suspension length, considering iowa plays a better team in week one then they do in week two.

I want their best team on the field also...no excuses when we hand it to them.

It just goes to show there are no problems with the Iowa FB team. Captian Kirk has it all under control. Nothing to see here.

You know you'd take Ferentz in a heartbeat if you could have him. Maybe if ISU could hang on to a coach for more than two years you'd have better things to obsess about than Iowa and Ferentz.

Please. I bet the vast majority of Clone fans would want Calloway and Clayborn not on the field, they're 2 of Iowa's best players.

Uh - no.

Can someone explain to me why Callaway got a 1 game suspension but the back up CB (forgot the name) got a 2 game suspension for basically the same arrest? Obviously one was driving a car and one a moped but other than that is there an obvious reason they don't have the suspension?

The pessimist in me says its because Callaway is such a main component of their success this year - any other reasons?

Nope. Prater is contending for a starting spot at corner. Reason - Calloway is a 5th year senior who has kept his nose clean. This is his first infraction. Prater has I believe 2 alcohol infractions since he has been at Iowa, thus a stiffer penalty.

EDIT: In addition, if you remember last year prater had a GREAT game against you guys. He broke up 2 passes and was all over the field. He was our nickel back and contributed a lot last year. He is a good player so we WILL miss him at corner, esp in the nickel.

Grow up, will you please!?

Having Calloway back will be a legit deal ... however, if you knew the details regarding the infraction, you'd understand why he was only suspended for a single game.

As for James Ferentz being out a game ... he likely won't factor in much in the early part of the season anyhow. He still likely has a lot of trust and respect to earn back in order to find his way onto the field.

Darko -
Really? If there was any other alcohol related infraction ... then it was only noted and punished in-house then because I don't recall any public record of an earlier infraction.
