MLB: Hanrahan Earns Win in His Sleep

I saw that last night....crazy. Also ironic was the guy that scored the winning run played for the Pirates when the game originally started.

It would have been even cooler if Joel would have ended up getting traded to the losing team. He could have recorded a win for the other team.

Hey Cysball20,
Did you see the 2 Norwalk pitchers a few weeks ago. I can't think of there names but the one guy struck out every batter. The next day the other Norwalk pitcher threw a no hitter. That is crazy impressive.

One of them, Dermody, signed with Iowa and was drafted by the Pirates. Last I heard he may sign any day now...

Yeah Dermody. His fast ball is kind of slow for the Big leagues right now. I think he said it was right around 85-87 MPH. He needs to get stronger. Unless he has just incredible junk.

Just found out the guy that Joel was traded for scored the winning run when the game resumed. That is pretty freaky.

So cybsball20 - when's you're favorite team gonna become the Pirates? Because I can't imagine what other reason why anyone would actually be a fan of the Nats...

It's funny because my boss and my bosses boss are both HUGE Pirates fans. Not to mention they have a former ISU Baseball player working in the front office... I have no problem chearing for the Pirates, at least people have heard of them, there are still alot of people out there that have never even heard of the Nationals.

I've heard of the Natinals

I was glad to see the Pirates get Milledge and Hanrahan. Hanrahan is having a pretty down year but his stuff is nasty. If the Pirates can get Milledge to develop into his potential it should be a great trade for both teams. It was tough to get rid of Nyjer Morgan. Sean Burnett has really developed into a good lefty out of the pen.

I think this is kinda telling of why the Register is struggling... The story about Joel led off Baseball Tonight, Led off Sportscenter, front page of USA Today Sports, Front Page of Washington Post, less than a sentance in the Rag...
