Brackins playing right now

i wonder if the announcers could pronounce the Greece player's names? looks like some tough ones in there, esp if you don't know the players.

Start the flame war...

I wish his first shot wasn't a 3 pointer.. honestly.. I wish CB wouldn't take a three all year.

-keep.

I'm pretty sure that GMac has been encouraging him to step out more this coming season. You may not like what you see next season if that's the case.

it is his mid to long range game that will help him get paid at the next level. He needs to work on that stuff, what better way then to do it at iowa state keepngoal?

I understand that point.. I really do... I would rather have him: 1) take it off the dribble from back there and score. or 2) face the basket at 15 feet and shot.

This year a 3 pointer by Craig shouldn't be the best shot we can get. Last year it kind of was sometimes.

I think if he can provide consistent enough from 3 point range (anywhere above 30%), that it will be beneficial to the whole team, anytime you can pull a big man out from underneath the rim it can help open things up for other guys.

Craig has proven he can hit them, I'm not going to be upset if he takes a couple a game.

I think the main concern is the way he gets them. I don't think we will see him float out there that often...unless he is really feeling it, i.e. Kansas game...but I would not complain if he is pulling the trigger on a pick and pop situation or a trail post situation.

Another thing people forget is that the old school power forward is gone for the most part. The new school 4 (as I call it), are players like Craig. They can post, face up, high post game, and hit the 3 on occasions. Craig is not a 5. He played that position out of necessity last year when Justin Hamilton hit his Freshman wall and the times when we needed to get more athletic on the floor.

The other thing is, the Euro game is completely different. All bigs can step out and play/shoot out there. Thats why Jiri had a tough time adjusting to Mac's style.

If his game is going to continue at the next level, he is going to have to do that. (shooting 3's). He's not a back you down and slam it in your face type of big man.

He can post you up, put a move on you, and shoot it over the top or fading away. Adding 3 point accuracy to his game will only extend the defense. and hopefully he will be able or will learn how to put the ball on the floor, and take it to the hole from the 3 point line this summer!

That is nice, but while at ISU, I want Brackins to do what is best for ISU.
