I'll second that.
I should have added a. This team is a rudderless ship, and one player isn't going to fix that. Besides, he isn't going to be at full strength anyway.
I think just having him back in the line-up will help a little bit.
Like I told my friends last night. I'd rather have us battling all year for a playoff spot, make it, and win a few games in the postseason, rather than dominating the division all year, then getting to the playoffs and laying another egg.
Nah, I preferred the whole wire-to-wire first place campaign in 2005 when the only time we were looking up at someone was after Game 1 of the ALCS. That is a lot better.:cute:

I wonder what roster move gets made when Ramirez is activated if its Fox or Blanco that gets sent down or if the Cubs can make a trade or if they just release someone. I doubt its the later or they would have released Miles alread I'd hope
I'm with you in that I hope it's Miles getting released, but I would be willing to bet that Fuld gets sent back. Fox has just nearly as many RBI as Bradley at this point, and has only been with the team for 3 weeks.

So you're saying that entire Cubs rosters needs to have career years, and have a blown call go their way in the playoffs?
That team was one something like two teams....ever......to be first place in their division wire to wire and only lose one game in the playoffs.
They also had a horseshoe shoved somewhere.
Do you guys think the Cubs might look at a guy like Mark Teahen?
Right, I get that, and no doubt they were a great team, but having an entire roster of guys playing well above their talent level had something to do with it.
As far as the Cubs making a move, I think they'll wait until this 4 game series with the Brewers plays out before they decide if they're buyers or sellers.
I think they'll be sellers.
Reed Johnson could be a nice OF addition for us.
Along with his chronically bad back?
