What does everyone think of this switch? I'm personally excited because he looked good as a freshman, minus the fumbles. It seemed that ever since the fumble on the goal line against OSU he was in the dog-house with the staff. However he seemed to hit the hole hard and have good vision and excelleration. He was a burner in high school and ran sub 4.5's consistantly.

I think it's a good move by the staff especially considering how Scales hasn't been able to stay healthy. I like Scales but after so many knee surgeries how effective of a runner can he be? I think Harris has a lot of potential to be a solid back up to J. J. Bass or perhaps even be a starter.

I kinda have mixed feelings about it. He is one of our fastest players and best athletes and he may not really see the field enough to make a consistent impact. With Bass, Scales, Harris, JJ, and Cameron Bell we have a lot of talent there.

I thought Harris really improved at FS last year as the season went on and I was hoping he and James Smith would be manning the safetys next year since Caleb Berg just doesn't seem to be fit as as a Big XII starter, but I'm sure the coaching staff will do whatever is best for the team

I'm waiting to see "it" from Harris on both sides of the ball.

I'm not against him, just not sold yet. Tough hill to climb being switched and switched again.

I can see it, Bass wearing down the defense and Harris spelling in and exploding with the big play with all that speed

Isn't Bass supposed to be faster than Harris? I thought he ran a 4.4.

This is spring training and we lack backs for now. It may be a quick look. It either means Jason is not needed on defense or we are short of backs eein a pinch. Nebraska pulls this stuff all the time - some go back and forth they are considered fill-ins in the big picture. You do it for the team.

Scales, Johnson, Harris and Bass are all unproven at RB. Let them all compete for the starting job. Competition is good.

I'd rather have Harris on defense. I thought he looked ok last year in limited role and with some extra work he could hopefully bump Berg out of the lineup.

I thought he had a greater chance to improve our team on defense, but I guess Chizik knows a lot more about it than I do.
