Incredible game last night as they wrapped up the series against Vancouver.

Next stop Hockey town (most likely) and a date with the defending champs.

Go BLACKHAWKS!

(not enough hockey talk on CyFanatic!)

The Blackhawks are such an exciting, young team to watch. Hopefully they will be able to hold on to their key players and be good years to come.

I'm pulling for them for sure! I was a Blackhawks fan in that period of time between the North Stars leaving and the Wild coming in. I actually have a jersey autographed by Chris Chelios. I would love to see them take down the Redwings and break their curse on the cup!

Also, I was gonna start a thread about this, but I think tomorrow night's game is going to really help restore the NHL outside of the cities that have teams. Crosby v. Ovechkin should be epic!

So who do you want the Pens or the Caps?

I would love to see a repeat of 1992 with a different outcome.

I honestly thought the game was over when Vancouver scored to go ahead 5-4 with 6 minutes left in the game. Than the Blackhawk’s scored 3 goals in a little over 3 minutes! Patrick Kane’s unassisted goal was just plain sick!

I've never seen a hockey team so determined to win. If they are down by 3 goals, it doesn't matter, they will find a way to win. Such an exciting time for Hawks fans. The city is going crazy over them. The United Center is an awesome place to watch a hockey game, it can get so loud.

Lets go Caps...I love Ovechkin and his confidence. He hits, scores, passes, and is an all around badass. I cannot wait for game 7 tomorrow night.

I have watched them all year and you can not count them out of any game. They are fast, physical, and are skilled.

I hope Detroit wins tonight. This will be an epic battle of original six teams.

I think management is committed to thier young players. Hopefully they have learned from previous years, when the Blackhawks littered other teams with thier stars, and got virtually nothing in return. This is a case of the kid being smarter than the old man.

Fantastic thread! Chicago has a lot of youth and I have been very surprised with how well they have been playing. I thought they were a great team but thought their youth would hurt them. They look great right now, let's hope they can pull it off next round.

I'm a Pens fan. Have been since early 90's when Bob Johnson coached them to a cup then died mid-season before they won back to back cups. I thought they had it last night but lost a tough one in over time. The Pit vs Was series is one of the best series I've ever seen. The past 3 MVPs in one series. Just awesome skill in those games. I love watching Ovie, Crosby, and Malkin. If Malkin can play his top game, the Pens win.

What I think the NHL really wants to see is a Blackhawks vs Red wings Western final and a Boston vs Pittsburgh Eastern Finals. The Series between the Caps and Pens is and was absloutly cruical for the NHL. That and getting back on ESPN next year should help the NHL a little in future.

OUCH!!!

I'm still hurting from the 3rd period yesterday. Oh well It's just 1 game. All we have to do is win one on the road and we get home ice away from the evil red empire.
