NFL: 2009 Undrafted Free Agent Signings List

Da Bears got some goodies. I woulda liked to see G Harrell instead of Chase Patton, and who knows? Eric Peterman as a slash type or wildcat? the dude was damn near legendary playing QB for (springfield) Sacred Heart-Griffin in HS. My HS coaches would give me their game films to study their center (as we ran the same offense and I had shotgun snapping problems) and I often found myself just watching Peterman tear it up.

The real goodies they got were RB Tyrell Fenroy (UL-Lafayette) who had 4 -1,000 yd seasons in a row, 7th in NCAA history and first since (puke) Ced Benson; FB Will Taufoou (Cal); and OL Dennis Conley (Hampton).

Also wouldnt have minded Marlon Lucky, Tyrell Sutton, Ian Johnson, PJ Hill (could use a BJacobs like Bruiser), or Quan Cosby.

Packers pick up Bibbs from ISU and Andy Brodell. Skins pick up Ganz and Daniels. Jags pick up Tyler Lorenzen.

For those who might not know, his brother Matt is a Juco all-american LB who signed with ISU last month.

Chase Daniel and Joe Ganz signed with the Redskins. Now we will see who is the better qb. They must like the Big 12.

Vinny Anderson CB signed to be Giants . He is Webber International. Where is this school? Panama Zone?

Four frigging guys from Kent State? No wonder it was so tough to beat them. They had some real talent on their lines. Go KSU MAC sized!

I did not know Ganz was looking to play pro-ball. I met him after the nebby game because I coached a kid that is related to him in JR football and the kid came to watch. He's a pretty good guy.

Sean Glennon and Ian Johnson are intriguing signings. Seems like they may have the talent to stick around.

I think Jon Cooper, Oklahoma's Center, may be the most likely to stick. The Vikes need a future center, and this guy knows how to play, he's just a little small. He was the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the year this year and started 3 years at OU on some mighty good o-lines.

Now I know that he is a kicker, but how in the world did Sam Swank not get drafted? I realize kickers rarely get drafted, but this guy is not only an excellent place kicker, but also one heck of a good punter as well IIRC...

One of the guys for Kent State wasn't even on the football.

Porter who signed with the Patriots wrestled for the Golden Flashes.

Z beat him for 5th place.

It really is amazing when you think about it. If the NFL thinks you have talent they'll find you and give you a chance. It is all the more intriguing when college super stars are early camp casualties let alone not drafted.

The patriots often do this and you gotta give em props for that. One of their guards, stephen neal, won the Hodge trophy (wrestling's Heisman) in 1999 but didnt play football.

Also a guy I met at Midwest Lineman Camp in 2004 was Stacy Andrews. He got drafted in the 4th round of the 2004 draft and had only played 50 snaps of football in his whole life, as a senior at Ole Miss. Great story, great guy. He never played ball in HS but he went to Ole Miss on a track scholarship (hammer throw and javelin I think). His senior year he played football too, because he was told he could be drafted. He did get drafted by the Bengals in the 4th round. It was crazy, because the lineman coaches at the camp were mostly linemen from the Bengals and their O-Line coach plus some small school line coaches. So here I am (a high school sophomore), doing drills next to this professional football player who is 6-7, 342 and learning all of the same stuff, even coaching him up a bit and riding around in his brand new Navigator with dub deuces and a ridiculous system. It was pretty cool.

You are a well traveled young man and quite well spoken. Neat story too.
