NFL: Vikes fans

vikings always seem to start strong, if i were a vikings fan I would be worried about the last 6 games minus cinci, bears 2x, giants, carolina, and arizona

i was just going to say that. the early schedule looks promising, but 5 of the last 6 could be very tough. I do like the schedule in Nov with 3 straight homes games vs Lions, Seahawks, and Bears.

I don't think it looks very easy....

Out of conference games against Baltimore, Arizona, Carolina, Pittsburgh, and the Giants? That's a lot of playoff teams.

according to espn we have the 2nd easiest schedule this yr. I guess Lions 2x, Browns, Bengals should be 4 easy ones right?

I think we get the lions twice, split with the pack and the bears, beat the browns, bengals and seahawks. There is 7 wins. We would need about 3 tossups to make the playoffs.

What is the word on the Williams'? Are they going to be suspended to start the season or not? That would make a huge difference in how we start the season.

The Vikes get the Browns, Lions, 49ers, and Packers in the 1st 4 weeks. Not the best running teams in the league, so the loss of the Williams wouldn't hurt as much. Hopefully the back-ups could hold their own if need be.

2008 Rushing YPG:
17th - Packers
26th - Browns
27th - 49ers
30th - Detroit

The Pack don't need to run to kick the Viqueen's arses. I'm trying to find out a way to hate Minnesota without hating Sage. It's about the same as having Kampman on the Packers.

The Vikings also have last year's 2 Superbowl teams on the road while the Bears have them at home. The Vikings have the toughest schedule in the division which makes sense given the NFL's policy of assigning schedules based on standings.

Just hope the Vikings get down 35-0 and Sage has to throw all day.

With that schedule I want to say 10-6 is a reasonable expectation.

I hope the division doesn't come down to the Monday nighter at Chicago.

The season could start out very good if the Vikings can pull it together early. The Williams pending suspension could make things more difficult but re-signing Fred Evans will help. I am sorry, as much as I respect the Bears I don't think they will be as good as people think, even with Cutler. Its not like he brought the rest of Denvers offense with him. I do expect the game in Chicago to be tough but since the Vikings are a running team with a great run defense weather should not be as much of a factor as it might have been in the past.

I forsee a 10+ win season and the division title.
