Thanks - I'm glad others see the problems as I do. I really do like McDermott, the person, but I'm not very enthused about McDermott, the coach. I hope he proves me wrong.

Hey 06Panther, Just wanted to let you know that I saw Ryan Mahaffey in late May at a HS graduation party. He sounded pretty pumped and optimistic about the season! He's a great kid (my wife & I "babysat" him a couple times when he was in elementary school). Although I am a Cyclone Alumnus, I pull for the Panthers whenever they are not playing ISU.

Thanks for the rep. I thought it was a fun post, but some people are taking it a little too seriously. I thought the words "Conspiracy Theory" would make people have fun with it. Oh well. Thanks though

If I remember correctly you are/were from Aplington-Parkersburg. Sorry to hear about the loss of a great man. Thoughts and prayers are with all involved.

I won't argue with that. I do think the kid is 2 to 3 inches from being a high level D1 recruit. He is a kid you would love to have on your team. He competes like nobody else I have seen in high school and has an excellent feel for the game

He's good, but I would take Oglesby or Suarez (Depending if you count him w/ the Iowa class, since he lives here, and plays AAU, in the summer.) over him any day.

I've been a Nadas fan since I started at Iowa State in '97. I even got my oldest sister into them and now she goes to see them more than I do. It was a tossup between New Start and Coming Home.

Btw ; I go by CycloneCWL on the Rivals board & spend too much time on the hawkeye rivalry board.

Do you work at Rockwell in CR ? If so, do you know Bruce Newgard who is with Xilinx in San Diego ? ( he's my brother-in-law )
