That's too bad, otherwise I'd think about it. I can't enter FB season without CF. Thanks for sharing though
Can you add me to the Friday thread group?
I don't work on a Friday for 4 weeks and you guys completely abandon me...
The expansion on the NCAA tournamnet in 1985 and the 5 most memorable games each year from 85-when I get finished (AFTER 2010 I hope)

Getting tape has been a *****, for most schools want money. I use many newspaper sources as well.

Basically, I watch about 20 old NCAA tournament games per month, read up on the teams, and put it down.
I would describe it as away to play basketball year round, for the die hard basketball players. Its a step above high school (at least the tournaments we play at are) and you can make new friends from all around the state, and/or country. Its a chance to put yourself in a situation to see where you match up against the best players in the country. It really puts things into perspective. I really think its a great thing.
DrewCo,

Some of us are old enough to not have AAU experience. For us, unless you went to a summer skills camp, it was pick-up games or other sports. What is your AAU experience like?
You won't regret it. I have gotten the wings, and also got it in a wrap. I can't even bring myself to try other stuff half the time, since it's so good.
No, I have a busy summer work schedule. I'm going to see 'em and Allmans in Dallas the night before the Red River Shootout. Caught them at 10KLF in 2005, had a great time.
thanks for the rep on that...yeah, I don't mean to diminish Iowa's talent they recruit by that statement, I was simply trying to emphasize what a good job they do of developing talent versus top teams with perpetual top 10/top 15 recruiting classes, for instance. Ferentz and staff do a great job at that.
