***2019-2020 College Football Survivor Week 2***

119 entered, 117 remain depending on the Notre Dame game. Please make sure your name is on post #3

Rules/How to Play if you are new:
  1. Pick a team you think will win that weeks game. Pick only 1 team per week.
  2. Don't pm me the pick, post on here your pick.
  3. You can only pick that team ONCE the entire time you are in the game.
  4. The goal is to advance and be the last person standing.
  5. Only games that have a FBS school facing another FBS school are eligible to be picked (no ISU-UNI due to UNI not being FBS).
  6. You have up until the start time of the game you picked to switch. (Ex: If you pick Duke over Army, you can't change to another game after that game has started.)
  7. If your team loses, you are out for the competition.
  8. If you skip a week of picks, you are out.
  9. You can switch as many times up until the game you have picked officially starts.
  10. If you have questions, pm me
  11. Post 2 of the thread will have the possible games you can pick.
  12. You can only pick teams that are undefeated (they will be bolded).
  13. You can't join in during the middle of the season.

Have any questions, pm me or ask in the thread. Thanks!

Going to the Iowa/Rutgers game today, help me blend in?

A buddy scored great tickets to the game today and invited me, and since we’re not playing, I said “sure!” I love CFB and can’t pass up a free ticket. I haven’t been to Kinnick in 15 years, last time didn’t go so well - Clones lost, I got loaded, tried to pick fights with any and all takers (luckily my wife dragged me out...) I promised to wear black today to try and blend in; any other suggestions from hawks that are lurking/trolling? Or anyone from the “I cheer for both except when the play camp?”

Vacation home & short-term rental

This isn't something I'd do for a couple years, but someday I'd like to buy a vacation home on the beach (somewhere in Florida probably; love California but real estate on the beach in CA is not in my price range). The idea would be to hire a property management company and have it rented out as a short-term rental on sites like airbnb, and then be able to use it a couple times a year. Does anyone have experience doing this? Do you make enough off short-term rentals to pay the mortgage? Does having a property management company take care of the headaches of owning property in another state?

YouTube TV - NBC question

I switched over to YouTube TV a couple of months ago. Discovered while trying to watch an NFL preseason game that should have been on NBC, however yttv wasn't showing it on NBC showing soccer instead.

I have then found out that apparently it's a problem with our local affiliate for NBC not in agreement with YouTube TV. I live in ames, so curious if everyone else in Iowa has this same problem? My main question out of this is trying to figure out how to watch the bears packers game tonight...?
