Minnesota to Host College Game Day?

Will they host?

So, Minnesota will almost certainly be the host for college game day when their matchup with Penn State arrives on 11/9 right? They are unlikely to lose before then with games against the mighty Rutgers and Terrapins. Penn State will likely not have more than 1 loss and I think will likely be undefeated as well. They have a slightly more difficult road with games against Michigan and Michigan State.

Minnesota has certainly benefitted from a cupcake schedule, but they have taken care of business. It was fun to see them kick Nebraska's ass also. It would be their first time hosting.

On That Note - Clap For the Wolfman

This week's On That Note will be songs with hand claps.

We take turns hosting, do @cyclones500, @CycloneRulzzz and I. This is my turn. Any song with handclapping as a part of the musical make-up are fair game. For purposes of this thread live concert songs with audience clapping is verboten.

Last week's very successful topic was songs with city names in the title - it can be found here https://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/threads/on-that-note-city-to-city.251010/.

Lincoln coach to face possible charges for yelling

at the ref. First off, if you watch the video of the hit. The ref should be suspended, the Dowling player should be suspended and a 15 yard against the Lincoln coach. However, criminal charges against the coach? What a joke. I am not sure how the ref didn't see this as intentional targeting. Not sure in high school if the kid get's kicked out like college and Pros.

Player development

The question that has consistently come to me about previous staff issues with success has been whether they “missed” on recruits or didn’t develop the recruits they got. Watching Matt Leo, Zach Peterson, and many others tells me that this staff is developing talent and that is so impressive, something missing in the past. What a great time to be a cyclone.

Jack Trice Stadium - Mountaineer Field

Always like how they were by the same architect. They've even had identical endzone bleachers into the mid 80s before WVU added bowl seating to both endzones. I find it odd that ISU doesn't exceed the 61,500 mark.. does your AD not give out extra tickets/standing room only?

Braxton Lewis - Erlich National Team of the Wk

Congratulations and great game Braxton!

SAFETY
Braxton Lewis, Iowa State

Lewis flew all over the field for the Cyclones, finishing with six total tackles without a single missed attempt. He was targeted just once as the primary coverage defender and yet he still made an interception and an additional pass breakup in a dominant effort on the backend of the Iowa State defense.

3 and out stats???

Last week I heard some ridiculous 3 and out stat for ISU... Something like we've only had 2 or 3 TOTAL 3 and outs this season which is at or near the top and just behind Clemson and OU?

I can't find any stat site where I can verify that. Did anyone else hear that and does anyone know a stat site that could be found?

PFF Starting QB Rankings through week 6

Purdy checks in at #9!

9. IOWA STATE: BROCK PURDY
Following up an incredible season in 2018, Purdy is hitting his stride despite two losses to start the 2019 season. Much like the aforementioned Huntley, Purdy is dominant on throws targeted at least 10 yards downfield, completing 43-of-74 attempts for 945 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s thrown nine big-time throws on such attempts and is an exceptional athlete with the ball in his hands. He’s ripped off 246 yards on the ground so far this year including five touchdowns and six carries of at least 10 yards. With elite game grades in his bag, the sky is limit as the Cyclones push through Big 12 play this year.
