Looks like Okie State's RFr QB, Sanders, has been struggling. 5 TD/9 INT in last five games.

ISU defense will need to step up and shut down RB Chuba Hubbard.

Here is how we fared against some of the conferences best rushers in 2018 (not named David).

Alex Barnes(KSU) ISU: 28 for 184/6.6 ypc
Pooka Williams(KU) ISU: 17 for 58/3.4 ypc
Trey Sermon(OU) ISU: 13 for 74/5.7 ypc
Justice Hill(OSU) ISU: 24 for 66/2.8 ypc

Barnes definitely got his, but we did good work against others (Sermon had Murray also).

What say you on Chuba?

CFP Projections

I started with the Top 20 teams in ESPN'S FPI and looked at ESPN'S projections for each remaining game including conference championships. Below is how each team is projected to finish. Order is based on final record:

1. Ohio St 13-0
2. Alabama 13-0
3. Clemson 13-0
4. Oklahoma 13-0
5. Oregon 12-1
6. LSU 11-1
7. Penn St 11-1
8. Notre Dame 11-1
9. Baylor 11-2
10. Florida 10-2
11. Georgia 10-3
12. Wisconsin 10-3
13. Utah 10-3
14. Auburn 9-3
15. Washington 9-3
16. Iowa St 9-3
17. Iowa 9-3
18. Michigan 8-4
19. USC 8-4
20. Texas A&M 7-5

Assume instead ISU were to win out and beat OU twice. We would be 11-2 and there would be chaos over which team deserved the 4th playoff spot.

NFL: ***Official Week Seven Thread***

The reeling Chiefs @ Denver tonight. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly things can change in the NFL. Two weeks ago KC looked like a virtual lock to play the Pats in the AFC championship, and Denver appeared to be in the running for a top three draft pick. Since then Denver is 2-0 and the Chiefs are 0-2 and in danger of falling into a tie with the Raiders for first place in the West. It's pretty obvious Mahomes is really limited with that ankle injury but their bye isn't until Week Eleven. Tough two weeks after tonight with back to back home games against the Packers and Vikes.

Other games of interest:

MIN @ DET - Must-win for the Lions if they want to keep pace in the North. They've been more competitive than I thought they'd be.

HOU @ IND - Chance for the Texans to put a little distance between themselves and the rest of the division. A win for the Colts creates a two way tie for first place with Indy holding the head to head tiebreak.

NO @ CHI - The return of Mitchell Trubisky looms. Nagy has to find a way to kickstart that offense no matter who's under center. They're wasting a really good defense (again).

PHI @ DAL - Good Sunday night game. Winner takes control of the East. Interesting side note - if the Giants knock off Arizona they'll be one game back of the division leader after this weekend. Didn't see that coming.

Iowa St.

Tyrese Haliburton is the national breakout player to know. He was spectacular playing for USA Basketball over the summer. He had a 136.8 ORtg at KenPom last season, third-best in the country, and is a top-five point guard in America. Not getting nearly enough pub heading into November

6. Tyrese Haliburton, 6-foot-5 sophomore, Iowa State

Haliburton is one of my favorite players in the country to watch from courtside. You don’t get a sense of how valuable he is until seeing (and hearing) him up close. Last season he played almost perfect basketball and ended up third in the country in offensive rating (136.8). He did so always with a smile, being in the right spots and constantly communicating with his teammates, a rarity for a freshman.

The ball will be in his hands more now that Nick Weiler-Babb has graduated, and Haliburton showed what that could look like this summer playing for the United States in the U-19 World Cup. Haliburton averaged 7.9 points, 6.9 assists, shot 68.9 percent from the field and had a 6-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. His hard stats aren’t going to wow anyone, but Haliburton is an advanced stats all-star and a winner. My only concern is the awkward release on his jumper, but he keeps making them at a high rate, shooting 43.4 from 3 as a freshman and making 10 of 18 for the U-19 team.

Idea: Dark Mode

Just curious. The last iOS update on my phone enabled Dark Mode across a lot of apps, when was a revelation to me. I'm somewhat visually impaired ( I was legally blind before surgery), and the high contrast helps me see things and read much more easily.

However, that doesn't seem to work with CF (or some other apps), and when I went on my laptop (PC) and switch ed on the Dark extension, it was to mixed results on the front page, and basically nothing in the forums. Is this something that can (hopefully fairly easily) be addressed?

Please excuse my typing, if I'm getting words wrong. Had stitches out of my good eye yesterday, and can't really see what I'm typing.

Year End Vacation Idea's

I need your thoughts...please.

We are a family of 5 looking for recommendations for a vacation towards the end of the year / early next year. Probably five days...would like to stay in the states. Time frame would be after Christmas through first week of January - one is in college.

Family enjoys warmer climate (we have made several trips to Caribbean in the past), and we are all 18+.

Thank you for any helpful advice.
