Basis: What have you shown me so far.

1. Baylor - beat Butler, Arizona and Villanova after early loss to UW
2. Ku - no big wins after early loss to Duke
3. TxT - takes down Louisville
4. WVU - beats Wichita but loses to St. John's
5. Texas - lots of wins over nobodies with a loss to Georgetown
6. ISU - win over The Hall negated by a loss to hurky
7. oSu - two-game losing streak: Georgetown and Wichita
8. OU - loses to Stanford and yesterday to Wichita
9. TCU - Jamie should have taken the UCLA job
10. K-State - barely treading water - Beat Navy!

Just getting a thread started for the game tonight. I like our chances to halt the three game skid to the most modestly talented coach in the Big 10 (and cap her career win total in Hilton at "1," meaning: never again). The shots have to fall, for sure. Too bad the game is on a Wednesday instead of a weekend when we'd likely have a better crowd. Let's go State!!

What are people’s thoughts on this?What’s been the reason behind this? Outside of wrestling, I wouldn’t consider Iowa light years ahead of us in any of the major sports the past few years.

I'm far from a “we need to beat Iowa every year!!” guy, but you should beat your rival every so often. It’s just weird to me considering the past few years have been generally pretty solid for ISU Athletics, but we can’t get over this rivalry hump.

Pretty solid slap in the face to ND. Maybe even worse. If it weren’t for the practices I’d decline the bid. It’s below a team that beat so many teams the CFP considers top 25.

@Peter P. On the other hand, a game is a game. Declining the bid might be satisfying on a petty level, but it's a great opportunity for Iowa State, and it's also a great opportunity for some of our younger players to get playing time.

@Peter P. No it's not. ND is a top 10-15, second-to-third-tier team this season playing in a second-to-third-tier bowl. There is nothing out of the ordinary here other than the fact that the Big XII had a lousy season collectively and has produced no worthwhile opponents outside of the top 2.

@Peter P. ND made their bed when they got killed by Michigan. Unfortunately it seems the committee is done doing ND any favors. Being ranked behind every 2-loss P5 team except Minnesota, as well as a couple of 3-loss teams, sends the message loud and clear.

@Peter P. Honestly, it's not such a slap in the face. ND is 2-2 against current Top 25 teams..and those wins are Navy and USC who hardly are considered quality this year. Beat Iowa State, which is a dangerous team, but not Top 25 and you finish Top Ten-ish. Look at the Final Four and look at the Irish and you realize the Irish are not nearly elite, but rather, as they say in the commercials, just ok.

They need to renogiate the terms they agreed to for future bowl games. This game will probably look like the Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers all over again

@theodore P. A no-win situation against an inferior opponent where they will under-perform and win in a forgettable style. Also this game has a time slot of being completely irrelevant

Looking for 1 ticket to Fort Wayne

Hi All, We are not able to go to the game on Dec. 22nd against Fort Wayne, so we are giving our tickets to a local family who would have otherwise not gotten to a game. However, we only have 4 tickets for a family of 5. Could anyone help us get 1 more ticket for the last family member? I am sure there should be plenty of room with the game over break.

Iowa/Iowa St.

Just watched the Iowa vs Michigan game. Couple thoughts/questions concerning the upcoming game. I do think it will be a good game. If we can hit the outside shot, we should win. However, if the officials let them play, like they did in the Michigan game, we could be in for a long night. Garza should have been in foul trouble early on but they would not call it. He pushes off, hooks people, and backs into players all the time. In the NBA, he would be fine, but in college it should be a foul! He reminds me of Adam "poke in the eye" Woodbury. Are the officials in this game Big 10, Big 12, or neutral? I know in football, the traveling teams conference does the officiating. I just hope they call it tight...both ways!
