Post season volleyball thread

Thought I'd go ahead and make a new thread for the post season. This can be an easy place to post anything about anyone playing, not just Iowa State. I always find this sport's tourney fascinating because there always seem to be surprising upsets and interesting match-ups.

I noticed from the NIVC bracket that TCU is representing the Big 12. TCU finished 7th this season. Tech was 5th, so they must have declined as they would have been the automatic qualifier. Don't know if Kansas was asked (6th place) or if they declined as well.

Anyway, Iowa State made it back to the NCAAs after a one-year absence! Go Cyclones!

Cowpokes vs Cyclones

Game starts in one hour. ESPN+ is your carrier. Vital game for the Clones. OSU has got a dynamic one-two punch with Grey & Mack. Mack is the post that I had hoped ISU would go after when she became available. I sent a message to the staff about her hoping they would go after her. She is proving to be the real deal. Just wish she was playing for the other team today.

Friday OT #1 - Losing My Religion

Thanks so much to @Farnsworth for another great thread idea! (PLEASE never hesitate to send them to me, or feel free to guest!)

What is something that you lost in the past but still think about?

I'm not going to steal Farnsy's examples, because they would definitely not be relevant to me. Mine is much simpler - my husband gave me a beautiful gold necklace with a pearl on it, and I wore it on a work trip. I apparently left it in the bathroom at the hotel and they said they never found it - because the necklace did not make the return trip. It still makes me sad, even though he was kind and got me a replacement.

How about you?

Life Insurance

Been thinking about getting life insurance since I'm getting close to 40 but not sure whens the best time to get it. I dont have any kids but do own my own home that my girlfriend and I own. My insurance guy was pushing it but thought I'd ask some of you guys to try and keep from throwing away money.

Ballad of Buster Scruggs

The Coen brothers have been my favorite for a long time. No Country for Old Men, Fargo, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Big Lebowski, True Grit, Burn After Reading, Raising Arizona, the list just never stops.

Was curious what everyone thought of this new movie? I really enjoyed it and true to the brothers style it's unique.

A noir esque western with shades of tall tales and Grimm's fairy tales. Reminded me of Four Rooms being that it is 6 short stories. True to their style it's funny, surprising, emotional and at times visceral. I loved it. Was hoping for something like Oh Brother and though it's not the same it's right up there.
