To me how we got dominated by a school with an intern DC that had a bad defense, and an offensive line coach that we fired that had TWO STARTERS out? And wait what? We had ZERO rushing yards?

And that is a lot to take in prior to a long 8-month break.

I am almost of a mind to just say, let Heacock retire. Rip that band-aid off now and get it over with. The defense has been underperforming lately anyway. Find a replacement earlier rather than later. Maybe Jordan Hankins, the interim DC for Memphis? After all, we once got a head coach from a team that beat ISU during the prior season.

This historic moment needs a thread of its own. A day that will go down in infamy. The travesty that was the blatant rip-off of the Pop-Tart gig.

It’s not a mascot if somebody isn’t in it - it’s basically a cake dispensed out of a fake toaster. The hype that thing had and the letdown would be like Iowa going to the Rose Bowl and playing against cheat-code McCaffery.

I don’t know that I have ever felt more cheated, robbed, and lied to than I am right now. Travesty! Blasphemy! Heathens!

Kids everywhere deserve a world where these types of horrible events don’t occur.

I must admit that I did not have the excitement to make another one of these threads due to the struggle with the team that began at the end of 2021. With the recent success (and also me reviewing my evaluations of guys like Becht and Cooper), I feel energized and excited to share my thoughts on these players. I look forward to seeing what you guys think. I will do my best to post a couple guys every week.

*****IMPORTANT NOTE*****
I want to make clear the vocabulary that is the "Player Comp." Over the past few years, I have given player comps in these evals to try to paint of picture of the play styles of a prospect. When I make a player comp, I am not projecting the career that the prospect is likely to have, but moreso the play style they have. For instance, I may compare Deon Silas is comped to Darren Sproles (rather than a guy like Jerome Bettis), meaning he is a short back that makes quick cuts to get yards and not his body. I am not saying that Deon is likely to be a Heisman finalist and have a 15 year NFL career; that projection is in a different section.

I don't want you to think I'm incredibly delusional and believe that we are going to have a team full of Heisman hopefuls.

Anybody know a workaround for this? I hate when there are multiple games I want to keep track of and some of them are on YouTubeTV and another one is on ESPN+ and another one is on Peacock or Paramount+. I have a Firestick and it’s a pain to have to hit the home button, find the other app, get it to load, and find the game in the app just so I can watch for a few minutes before switching back to another game. Is Roku or Apple TV or Google TV better for this? Is there some app where you can switch between games using the same interface?
