So another year, same ol crap!!
1. Two weeks in a row and we can coordinate the fly over with the end of the National Anthem.
2. Nothing against the Bells of Iowa State but that tune brings the crowd down. Need to play that right away and get it out of the way.
3. Need to find new music to get fans in the stand off their butts! Yesterday was far from electric! When the crowd needed to get into it we wouldn’t.
4. Our big go to is the headset cam and the Buff City flex for the camera… Really! Half the people didn’t even realize they were on camera!
5. And finally, the one song that gets people up and into the game, Juicy Wiggle, and they play it with 2 minutes left in the game. The person in charge doesn’t know anything about creating an electric atmosphere.

I understand bills need to be paid but let’s get some energy in our crowd. And it starts with the person in charge of selecting the audio. I watched several games last night and you could hear the crowd getting into the game. If you think our stadium is electric, go to Virgian Tech, Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Penn St. even K-State! You will see a vast difference. We need to rethink our current practice and get some energy at Jack Trice Stadium !!!

Bad week to pick an underdog undefeated team this week. Only lost 6 people but one was 3rdCoastClone who had a substantial bonus point lead. It's now anyone's game from a bonus point stand point.

Tiebreaker points return this year. A reminder regarding tiebreaker points: If your team wins and covers you gain an extra bonus point. If you take a undefeated team who is the underdog you gain the point for them covering plus another bonus point. As the season goes on the number of teams undefeated being a underdog greatly diminish so take advantage while you can.


I will be using ESPN's Lines. Line will be the line at kickoff for tiebreaker points

Starting early this week as I think there's a lot to talk about.

I haven't checked a replay yet, but I believe I saw some counters and pulling linemen (could have been TE, too--need to check).

Seemed to be effective as well. Didn't seem like the defenders knew exactly where every run was going on every play so they had to hesitate just a moment.

I only watched the 2nd and 3rd quarters on TV but it looked promising. The line wasn't exactly "beating" their guys, but having to make them think seems to be slowing them down just enough for our guys to net a little extra yardage on average.

Props to Campbell and Scheelhaase for continuing to tweak things.

Great weather, great tailgating, great game. What an amazing day. Makes it all worth it. This one will get filed away as a great gameday.

Iowa State flipped its own script on Saturday, and took advantage of mistakes TCU made on the field.

Okie State beats KSU to avenge 48 point loss last year.

OU beats Texas to avenge 49 point loss last year.

ISU beats TCU to avenge 48 point loss last year.

OU vs TX. Best game I have seen this year, so far. Dillon Gabriel and OU offense. Exciting stuff. Transfers are making the difference with teams.

Wednesday of game week, and I've read enough about ticket scanners. Let's talk about the game.

This is probably the most similar the two teams have been in as long as I can remember, and that's really intriguing to me.
-Two of the best coordinators, with two very good defenses, led by the secondaries.
-Both are conservative on offense, with new qbs, less than stellar Oline, and questions at WR.
-Iowa probably has the special teams advantage because of their punter, and just past track record.

Both sides is strength vs weakness, so it's seems like the team that makes less mistakes, doesn't turn it over, and maybe hits one or two big plays, will have the big advantage.

The fan in me wants Oklahoma State to pull the upset, but my brain is telling me that K- State is probably our best hope to prevent Texas or Oklahoma from winning the Big 12 on their way out.
