A documentary is being made on former Cyclone Breece Hall's road to recovery after an ACL injury sidelined him for the back half of the 2022 NFL season.

The film is set to be released Thursday.

Someone was keeping and posting a participation report through (I think) the first four games regarding freshmen and maybe sophomores. How do things look through the first half of the regular season?

Given all the health and emotional issues of this year, early this summer we booked a trip to Hawaii for December. For better or worse, we're taking the kids as it was cheaper for all 4 of us to go early in the month than just my wife and I later when the grandparent's could watch the kids.

We typically go to firm land vacations (Disney, Colorado, etc) without worry of sand, water, etc. Since we're going to have the kids do surfing lessons, we're going in a shark cage, playing on the beach, etc, I've been trying to figure out what to do for pics/videos.

I always have the latest iPhone (15 Pro Max) and plan on using that when we're away from the beach/water but need something for the rugged and underwater adventures.

For those that have done similar, have you used your phone in a case, GoPro, or something else? I was thinking of getting a GoPro as the newer versions have a larger sensor and supposedly take better still photos than in the past. Am I just over-worrying about the phones in the sand?

The puck drops on the 2023/24 hockey season tomorrow, October 10.

Anybody else have issues with the TCU game not recording on Saturday and recording today on FS2? And recording in SD? SD?! Are ya freaking kiddin' me? What is this 1998?

Go back to the 2010 power conference alignments, and then…

Add BYU and Utah to the Pac-10.

Add Notre Dame to the Big Ten.

Add TCU, SMU, Houston, and UCF to the eight teams that were in the Big East. For a refresher, that was USF, Louisville, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Rutgers, and Connecticut.

The G5s stay the same as they are today with the exception of the American losing SMU and USF, whom they could replace with Army and UMass.

Six power conferences with 12 teams each. Every conference has a championship game. Geographical alignments make sense. No more independents. Easy peasy.

If you want to put Louisville and TCU in the Big 12 and add some combination of Memphis, Tulane, Temple, and/or Rice to the Big East, go for it.

Zero chance of happening, but it’s perfect.

In all the years I’ve been a season ticket holder, 29, last night was the best pregame atmosphere I have ever seen at Jack Trice! Loved the Thunderstruck theme as the team made their way to the field. The fireworks were a bonus! You could feel the energy everywhere. Hopefully we stay with this!

Things they still need to work on keeping the atmosphere in the Jack the best they can. I know it helps with the play on the field but little things like timely energetic music makes a difference! Not sure why they can’t find 6 legitimate songs and play them throughout the game. We already have 3 songs so we just need to find 3 more. We have Thunderstruck before the game, nothing in the 1st quarter, nothing in the 2nd quarter, Juicy Wiggle in the 3rd, nothing in the 4th and Sweet Caroline after the game.

On another side note, I do think the band and the students are one! You should not separate them! They feed off of each other. Not sure why they can not get this corrected! All-in-all, things were better but still have some areas of improvement to be made!

I want to say, I am not at all complaining about Saturday, but I was watching on TV and noticed both teams struggled to punt and kickoff for much distance. I was outside almost all day and it didn't seem windy, but it sure seemed like the punts especially were all very short. Was the weather windy in Ames, or was something else going on?

I am wondering what all the ESPN+ haters and the Hawk and B1G fans who laughed at ESPN+ subs, think now?

Big 12, content on ESPN networks, and Fox networks. Tier 3 content on ESPN+ for sub fee, or included with Hulu.

B1G, Content on Fox, CBS, B1GN, NBC, Also for sub fee on B1GN+, another Sub Fee on Peacock, and another Sub fee on Paramount+. Tier 3 available for sub on B1GN+.

So Big 12 you need cable and ESPN+ sub, or Hulu, which includes everything.

B1G you need cable, plus subscriptions to at least, 3 separate services to get all B1G content. Seeing lot of Hawk fans crying this week online.

ESPN+ doesnt seem so bad now after all.

Right around 12:30 am, got the opportunity to do some "bed-surfing", when a 6.2 earthquake hit Northeast of Kabul. No damage that I can tell in my little neighborhood.

It was the first time I was in one that I can remember. Pretty interesting experience, and we haven't experienced any after shocks that I'm aware of.

Wow…Montgomery and Hall did it all today. Montgomery ran 19 times for 109 yards in the Detroit demo of Carolina. Hall ran 22 times for 177 yards in the Jets win over Denver. Included a monster 72 yard run.

I kept hearing how great this line coach is….well, I don’t think the line is any better! Actually, I think they are worse. So far this season, we have rushed for 259 total yards on 95 attempts in 3 games… a little over 86 yards a game at 2.73 yards per rush. That is not getting it done in the trenches! I know we had probably 2 starters that gambled their way off the team but I keep hearing “next man up”! At this stage in CMC’s tenure, we should be able to withstand that and have adequate backups, ….especially against a MAC team!

Thought this was interesting... FPI has us favored in our first 4 games, then only 2 of our last 8.

Favored in 4 of 6 at home, underdog in 4 of 6 on the road.

Win Total now at 6.472 and games we are favored in jumped from 6 to 8.

Biggest moves are on TCU (+15.5%), Baylor (+20.3%).

Baylor and TCU both moved from underdog to favored.

8 of 12 games improved our our win total outlook. OU, Cinci, Kansas, and KSU are the 4 that declined week to week.
