My focus is shifting to basketball thanks to the football team. Where do you see this team on selection Sunday? I think our guards will carry us early on, I am really excited about Keshon Gilbert and Curtis Jones along with Lipsey hopefully developing more offensively.

Towards the end of the year I think guys like Omaha and Milan will be a huge part of our success.

How to continue Jack Trice's legacy in future years?

RIP to Jack Trice. Great job by everyone involved with the 100th anniversary events. It's always been clear to me that Jack should be an annual thing and I hope the positive reception to this game (etc) helps make that happen.

Around 2016, I wrote several stories on my site about the need for a jersey patch or helmet sticker, Jack Trice scholarship, Trice throwbacks every 4/5 years, and a logo that is a nod to Jack's five stripe jersey. Check.

Now that 2023 is over with, how can we move forward? Here are some new ideas:

Football Program:

1.) Award Jack's jersey number 37 to a special player every year. Make it a tiny event.

2.) Perhaps create a mini Trice "museum" room in the football building that has a 1923 jersey replica, Curtis Hotel desk (I have pictures), etc.

Annual Trice Legacy Game:

3.) Every five years (105th, 110th, etc.) roll out new Trice-inspired throwback uniforms, so most players experience it once.

4.) In between those years, do a simple Trice game throwback helmet decal with normal uniforms. Rotate the design.

5.) End zones should say AMES or ISC or similar.

6.) Have a national figure appear at the game, speak to players, fans, etc. Ex: Kareem Abdul Jabbar is a great activist. (Kinda like GameDay guest picker, but meaningful.)

Merchandise:

7.) Pull back on items with Trice logo. Make it special. Permanent donation xx% of gross revenue to charity (can rotate which one yearly).

8.) Let players create an unique Trice design for the season - use on team gear. Sell it as a limited edition collection.

Marketing:

9.) I might have missed it, but did the Big 12 care about this event? Twist their arms to really hype it up every year going forward.

10.) Have a student competition every year for a Trice project. Maybe it's a short documentary, a new poster design, an agriculture project in a poor area, etc.

RV Village Parking Pass Purchase

Good afternoon Cyclone Nation/Cyclone Fanatics, I am looking to purchase a RV Village Parking Pass for the TCU & KU Games this fall. I have secured an RV but now I am looking for a pass. I couldn't get one for this weekend so had to get a hotel room instead. If anyone has one, lead on someone looking to sell, or contact, contact me via DM on Twitter @batch40oz or reply to this post, and we can exchange cell phone numbers to communicate. I have noticed a lot of these posts don't have a lot of replies, but maybe people are reaching out privately.

Go Cyclones,

Batchy

2020/2021 Nissan Rogue SL vs 2020 Cadillac XT4 Sport vs 2020 Subaru Forester

We're looking at buying a used vehicle that fits our budget, meets our criteria (mileage, features) and - the hardest one of all - has the legroom that my husband is comfortable in. We've done a ton a research, including going to different dealerships and sitting in and/or test driving multiple makes/models. It was a PITA, but so far these two vehicles check all the boxes. Now I'm digging more into reliability, common problems, recalls they've had, etc.

Just wondering if anyone on here has had experience or knowledge with either vehicle (2021 Nissan Rogue SL or 2020 Cadillac XT4 Sport)? To be blunt - I'm not looking for links to research or to have other vehicle suggestions.

And - is it common for a dealership to replace tires on a vehicle? In looking at the Carfax reports, I noticed two different dealerships that replaced the tires on the Rogue around the 20k mark.

Update: Adding the 2020 Forester, though we haven't test drove it. According to information found, the legroom will work.

STORY: T.J. Otzelberger focused on improving free throw percentage in '23-'24

T.J. Otzelberger is focused on improving his team's mark from the free throw line this season, and the program's brought in just the pieces to do it.

5 years ago today ISU vs WVU

Just saw this pop up that this game was 5 years ago today. Wow. One of my all time favorite games. The game where it felt like ISU football truly arrived under CMC IMO. So much came out of this game. Purdy's first start, first time wearing the black, first Juicy Wiggle. Kicking the crap out of a top 10 team in a prime time spot. So much fun. Crazy to think it was only 5 years ago.

New We Will partnership!

Hi all,

Wanted to announce our latest partnership https://wewillcollectivegolf.com/

We partnered with the only Iowa owned and operated golf ball manufacturer to launch this store. Their golf balls compare to and are made out of the same material as a ProV1 but $10 of every dozen balls goes back to support We Will! Also 50 percent of all merchandise proceeds supports We Will. This company is based out of Panora, Iowa and is led by Cyclones. They have been a blast to work with. I have played the balls several rounds myself to make sure it’s a quality product and they are just as long as any ball I’ve played. Please support them and We Will! https://wewillcollectivegolf.com/

Ticketmaster Password Change

Just changed my Ticketmaster password since it wouldn't let me login as it said my password was required to change. Now I have nothing in my account.

I was logging in since I didn't get paid for last weeks pass I sold. My address was gone, my payment methods were gone. It's like I have to set up my account completely from scratch. Good thing this didn't happen before a game weekend.
