Iowa State became the second program to offer 2025 safety Ja’Torian Mack last week, and since they did, three more extended offers to Mack.

That says a lot about where the program is today, but also about Mack as a prospect.

“It feels good,” Mack said. “I felt like (the offers) were going to start coming in the spring, because I’d be able to talk to coaches more. It was better for my recruitment.”

Although Mack doesn’t yet have a rating on 247 Sports, the young prospect played varsity football in the fall as a sophomore.

Over the season, he collected 38.0 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, an interception and also a fumble recovery.

His season helped lead the team to an undefeated mark in the regular season.

“I really don’t know too much about Iowa State right now, I’d love to get on their campus, though,” Mack said.

It’s too early to tell where Mack might end up, but Iowa State defensive backs coach Deon Broomfield is the primary recruiter and wants to see Mack improve.

“He just wants to see me progress with my technique and things,” Mack said. “He said that next time he comes up here, he just wants to see me get better. He wants to see me go up, not down.”
