AMES, Iowa – Iowa State redshirt sophomore Sherron Dorsey-Walker has decided to transfer from the men’s basketball program, head coach Fred Hoiberg announced Tuesday.

“Sherron informed me that he has decided to transfer to a new school,” Hoiberg said. “He has been a great teammate and student-athlete. I’ve enjoyed coaching him and will assist him in any way I can as he looks for a new school. We wish Sherron the best in the future.”

Dorsey-Walker has played in 23 career games for the Cyclones. The Detroit, Michigan, native has seen action in three games this season, averaging 3.0 points per game in 13.0 minutes per contest.

“I have enjoyed being a member of the Iowa State basketball program the last two and a half seasons,” Dorsey-Walker said. “I would like to thank my coaches, teammates and the great Iowa State fans for their support during my time at the school.”
