Former Cyclone Diante Garrett averaged 3.5 points and 1.7 assists per game last season while serving as a backup point guard for the Utah Jazz. On Friday, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors.

That isn’t the entire story though. According to multiple reports, the Raptors plain on waiving Garrett when the trade becomes official on July 10.

Utah received Steve Novak and a future second round draft pick in return for Garrett. Garrett had a non-guaranteed contract with the Jazz for the 2015-16 season.
