Zombie Mice?

My brother just sent me a photo of a mouse he caught in his garage... He set the traps, and the next morning found the mouse. No big deal, except that the mouse skull had been expertly carved out by another mouse or something and the brain was eaten. Is this normal, or just another sign that the zombie apocalypse is coming? I have the pic, but not sure it's kosher to post on here.

I told him to get glue traps so the next time something decides to eat the next mouse brain it'll be effed too... Can't have zombie mice roaming around.

This didn't seem like a very big deal to me until I reread and discovered that you said this happened overnight. I think there was a little Hannibal Lector mouse who opened up this mouse's cranium and started dining while he was alive. It was only after losing a significant amount of grey matter that this now stupid mouse got himself ensnared in a trap.

Seriously looked like it was done with a miniature bone saw, exactly like a Hannibal mouse would have done.
