I want so badly for them to be great. My great niece just committed to Creighton and they have a solid program. My daughter plays club/high school and she is always telling me they aren’t consistent, I will never lose hope! I love volleyball!
SLU hammers ISU in the first set 25-13. Takes the second set 39-37! Now down 2-0. Will take another reverse sweep to get this win.
2 reverse sweeps in this tournament. Pretty impressive to come back like that twice.
They obviously don’t quit. SLU was playing out of their minds the first set. That long second set must’ve wore them down, even though they won it. Cyclones just took charge after that.
I’d never heard that term before today. Pretty cool, but I wish we didn’t need. Five games is a lot of playing time, especially when an early game is 39-37!
If you’d watched the first set, you’d have been prepared for the worst. SLU could do no wrong. When they followed that up with the long set loss, it seemed SLU had the momentum. Instead their adrenaline high wore off.
