Yet Another Football Preview article....Denver Post

Good article.... I hadn't stopped to think that Rhoads was the one who shut down Rich Rod at WV.... Consider me a fan:notworthy:
 
Actually one of the best, most well-researched, well-rounded articles I have seen. The author takes no shots at Iowa State, and actually seems to show respect for what Rhoads and co. are trying to achieve.

I agree c&g, after reading it, I thought something was wrong, perhaps my vision was failing me for not finding paragraphs of jabs at the ISU program, Ames, and Iowa in general.
 
I like the "did you know" fact about Derec Schmidgall because I definitly did not know that he is the only linebacker in the country that is also the holder on kicks.
 
great article. Sad to say, but for an overview article, it really puts the Reg in its place. I wish I could find a story with half as much information as this one in the Gazette too.
 
yeah, but the author carefully side-stepped our defense. "Remember that Pitt-WVU game? That was awesome... okay- Iowa State's offense may be improved this year..."

Nice article, but I guess I was expecting more out of it based on all the "best review I've read so far" comments. Pretty generic, IMO.

Also - one of the greatest upsets in the history of American SPORTS? Wow, that is some hyperbole if I've ever read it. How about one of the biggest upsets in college football that year.
