Yesterday's game plan?

Anybody else questioning our gameplan on both offense and defense? After our drive that we got the field goal (2nd drive I think) the game was over. If we get a touchdown instead, we maybe make a game of it but 3 points wasn't going to cut it. We showed absolutely NO ability to stop Missiouri. If Franklin wouldn't have thrown the picks, the score would have been even worse!

The defense looked like they were trying to stop the pass...and Missouri (who is a running team this year) just gashed us with the same jet sweep over and over. I have no idea what the coaches were trying to do yesterday. This is the first time that I have EVER questioned Wally but I just don't agree with what we were trying to do.

Honestly, I am just tired of watching our offense. I was so excited when Herman was hired and I still believe he was limited in his play calling the first two years. But we have become plain and predictable. All you have to do to stop us is play man coverage and blitz! Texas was the first team that constantly did this and look what happened. The defense played well enough against Texas and Baylor that those games shouldn't have been blowouts...I'm not saying we win but should have been closer!

I guess I am just frustrated with the way we have been playing. I basically feel the way I did after sitting there watching Utah do whatever they wanted to us last year. Hopefully we can turn the corner again this year but some things are going to need to change and in a hurry!

The last two weeks IMO have been awful by Wally. Baylor showed a willingness to take 10 ypc and gash us that way and we didn't make any adjustments. At some point you have to get past the fact that it didn't work and try something else. Let RGIII try to beat you because their running game took us out behind the woodshed.

This week was the same story. No adjustments. Missouri's OC should be shot for even allowing Franklin to throw it when they were just pushing it down our throats. Giving up 700 yards rushing in two weeks tells me maybe we need to take a little more risky approach because we can't stop the run. Blitz and leave your corners on an island because you have nothing to lose.

Neither Herman nor Wally can do anything when the team has given up with 8 minutes left in the first half. We got abused at the point of attack yesterday. We sucked so bad in the first half they didn't even boo us when we came out again at halftime.

A&M will likely house us as well. I wouldn't be surprised if all of a sudden we competed, but the odds are we have 1 more week of this before we are able to compete again.

This is what I dont understand. We have a couple of good DBs in LJ and Reeves. Sure Reeves has a height disadvantage but he is still a good lockdown corner. If you have good lockdown corners why not throw in some blitzes. Also Wally seems like the type of coach to use one gameplan and stick with it throughout the whole game. It looked like he made 0 adjustments the past two weeks.
